Isn't this the company that bought the Rep. Inde and the Times-Reporter?

I wonder what's going to happen?

I noticed that the stock was in the $20.00 range when they bought the three papers and now it's at 51 cents?!

Times are hard... They have the entire paper online so you really don't need the paper any more. I my self think its a dumb move to have it online with out having people pay for it. I know my mom does not get the paper any more because she got a new car & had to cut corners.

I only get the weekend paper my self.

They should put stuff online, but keep special content for the paper itself.

Though personally I think the online and paper content is bad. Papers around here need an enema.

Well, like I say, if you want something done, do it yourself.

I agree that the papers are not always what they should be, and alot of times WAY to thin, even for 50 cents. If you know, or see something story worthy, call the paper. Hell, do something (positive) newsworthy yourself and call/email them. They are always open to suggestions. I've put myself on the front page of both the Inde, and the Rep within the past two years. I've emailed numerous suggestions that have been used (ex: the Countdown to Title Town header on the front page of the inde was mine all mine). The best stories are the ones the reporters miss. SO if you know of any, call them!! We can help them spruce up the papers! I've yet to see an awesome story about the upbringing of Massillon boys who play football from birth. It's always about highschool. What about the boys club? Middle school? Rock on! I'm done. lol:heee:

Well I'm not surprised! AS previously reported they are rated in the bottom 10 nationwide. They have no real content to the paper at all. They do not have credible reporters let alone Editor, who bye the way is not from Massillon, and refuses to check the history before running off half cocked, then prints half truths.

The Publisher is yet another subject. I have to wonder if Gatehouse really checked this jackal out before hiring him? Rumor has it he may have been unemployed when they hired him.Don't know how true, but would not be surprised.I have had some dealing with him, he falls short on credibility. He has yet to keep his word on several issues. There is two projects that I asked him about that DOES NOT require a story only his attention, I guess another birthday will come and go and I will still be waiting. I am sure RF was best Gateway could come up with

Remember you get what you pay for !

I don't care what you people say, I was pleased and grateful for the way the Inde stepped up and helped to support and promote the recent TitleTown endeavor. They cover the local news in our small local hometown and include updates on the web before the paper is out in print when there is some important breaking news that is pertinent to the surrounding areas.

RF is a quality human being with great family values, (something we could use more of around here) who loves this community and is a Tiger through and through and did a terrific job at the rally by the way. There are also other quality people on the payroll who do a good job; some of whom are fellow MP members.

No one can force anybody to read an online free newspaper. So if you don't like it, just don't bother reading it. Problem solved. Oh, and at least they don't have ya'all's favorite sports writer on staff.

It great you have that much confidence in the paper and there management .

Its hard to defend a eight page paper, that can't get things right. IMO.

As I briefly glance at a few copies I have on hand from the 22nd,23rd, 24th that I intend to save clippings from, I note that of the sections I have saved that each have over 20-some pages each. While not huge, it is a far cry from 8 pages. If there is such an occasional 8pger, that is certainly not the norm.

The Inde, like any other publication, is certainly not perfect, but I feel that it is gradually becomer a better publication. I also site several recent incidents where they have made the effort to get on board with us citizens in drawing attention to and publicly calling for answers to our disgraceful BOE fiasco; something we may not have seen in the past.
