That's an almost unbelievable story.

I remember he and Albert Belle were the only two who missed the Indians' parade the day after losing the WS to Atlanta.

manny is a money grubbing weasel...he has no loyalty to his team...whether it is the indians or the red sox...his only thoughts are about himself...selfish little so and so...my one regret is that he was able to get a world's series ring...while the team deserved it...he certainly doesn't...because part of the game is about charactor...he has none...

We can be thankful the Indians got rid of this loser when they did. I had no idea Manny is the way he is untill I read this article. Its amazing how someone can be so selfish and thoughtless. He couldnt give up at least five minutes of his time to make a sick kid feel good about life for what little time he may have left. It reminds me of the time Coach Stacy and the Tigers took time out of their busy lives to be there for Tyler Gardiner going as far to serve as to help lay him to rest Tiger Style. Its one thing I will always admire about those kids and Coach Stacy. Just too bad Manny doesnt have class like that.

Manny is and always will be my favorite MLB player. So many ppl get wrapped up in what professional athletes do in their own time. He's paid to hit the ball. Greedy? No, athletes have a small window to make as much as they can while they can. Calling a pro greedy is so stupid. I guess Im one of the few ppl out there who can watch great athletes like Terrell Owens, Manny, Bonds, K2, Ron Artest, etc. and not worry about what they do or say in their private lives. Because I dont give a crap.
