The Federal and State Grants Coordinator job was eliminated when the person retired and it was never filled. Now they are bringing it back?

As for the Accounts payable position---
Is this a new position? If so, do we really need another person in the treasurer's office?

If they are simply replacing someone, why are they not doing their part by reducing the already top heavy administration?

On a side note, hasn't the board had like 5000 meetings so far this year? They only get paid a small amount per meeting, but with so many meetings, shouldn't they donate some of that pay back to the school?

Just some thoughts

I wonder why only current Massillon City School employees are eligible to apply for this job.
That doesn't make sense. Why not try to get the best person for the job.

I don't think it is a new position. Hasn't the treasurer been working without an Assistant Treasurer for a while now? If she's that greedy, why wouldn't she have replaced the Assistant Treasurer?

Assistant Treasurer? For Massillon? Geez Loiuse we're not talking about freaking New York City. What is UP with this broad? Perhaps I'll go hire an Assistant Lawn Guy to help me with my yard this afternoon!! How ignorant.

Easy, CarlE! I wasn't saying that she needed an Assistant, just that the district saved some $$ by not replacing that position.

Also, my understanding about the state & federal position, after talking to some people, is that the job pays for itself through the grant $$ brought in by the position. I don't think that's a bad thing at all.
