I have always been a believer that stupid mistakes will get anyone beaten in this day and age. Well......stupid mistakes can get a person killed...or in one case...nearly killed.
Earlier, I just right now saw a man wearing red shorts run across some train tracks in an attempt to beat an oncoming train which was traveling mighty fast.
I thought the guy got struck when the train sped by......turns out it missed him by the thinnest of inches. He's lucky...that stupid mistake could have cost him some body parts or worse, his life.
Forbid if he did get hit.........has anyone ever seen anything like this to their knowledge? The only other instance like this was when there was a train coming by, the gates did not come down and the lights stayed off and a train passed by and thankfully no one was there at the time.
Again, forbid had he gotten hit......I wouldn't have wanted to see it .

I don't get it. What's so unique about this situation? This sort of stuff happens every single day in urban communities, especially in industrial sections. Gosh, I read about someone getting killed every other week on tracks in Miami/Dade and Broward counties. I personally witness people driving around gates frequently. Stupidity is stupidity and stuff happens...

When I was 16, I saw a guy commit suicide at the RR Tracks on Earl Road, by the Amvets. Weird situation, but he succeeded.

Indiana95,
Did I tell you that a 70-year-old senior citizen was trying to hop a ride on a slow train but got caught in one of the cars? Strangely, he only suffered just nicks and bruises but were nothing serious.
