I had to LOL when I read the line about the "helicopters" ! I remember when we were kids, my dad would make me and my brothers go outside with a little bucket or something and pick those things up off of the sidewalks and everywhere else the darn things landed. Boy, did I hate doing that
:crap:

Favorites:
#1. has to be gardening, especially the flowers. There's something about getting my hands dirty and growing things that makes me feel close to God and provides me with a little form of escape from everything else.
#2. grilling and having people over for a fire
#3. roaming around the flea markets. Not only is it a great way to find unique bargains, but a great way to meet a lot of unique and friendly individuals as well.
#4. visiting the gardens at places like Stan Hewitt
#5. floating lazily on the water somewhere on a pontoon
#6. baseball

Least favorites:
#1. has to be pulling the weeds from my #1. favorite activity, lol. Gotta take the good with the bad I guess.
#2. dealing with all the creepy bugs that emerge in the heat :ohno:
#3. there is none, I love everything else about summertime

Thank you, I really enjoyed that! I LOVE flowers and plants and realized much too late that I missed my calling in not pursuing an education that field. If my husband and I ever come into some loot, I plan on having my own greenhouse:sunny:

Too bad the video tour was so short. But, I guess that was like a little tease to get people to come visit. That topiary train is pretty remarkable looking! I would love to see it sometime. But for now, I will settle on Stan Hewitt to which we are dragging the family to tomorrow to reinforce some appreciation for nature into them. Their gardens are quite impressive also, especially the rose and oriental ones.
