11th anniversary of the dreaded fight......

Today on June 30...this day marks the 11th anniversary of the infamous Evander Holyfield-Mike Tyson "bite fight" and also, Tyson's 42nd birthday.

This was a night that referee Mills Lane came into the spotlight. Lane knew that Tyson was going to bite Holyfield's ear because of how the fight was going for the first two rounds. Furthermore, Holyfield also knew that his ear was going to get bitten because he started to see MGT lose his heart as the fight wore on. For all intents and purposes, Tyson knew he was going to bite Holyfield's ear because he was clearly frustrated by the boxing style of the Christian from Atlanta.

11 years later, what does anyone remember about the night Holyfield earned a million dollars while Tyson received a one-year banishment from boxing?

Come on! With the exception of me, monte81, and DAWGH8R, you know boxing better than nearly most others on here! Tyson spat his mouthpiece out before it happened and before that, Holyfield complained that Tyson didn't have a mouthpiece before the start of that ill-fated third round! So Holyfield knew it was coming, he just tried to prolong the inevitable!

My dad can attest to this as well!
