Sounds like now that the grants and tax abatements are over, it's time to find a new 'sugar-daddy'. Sounds like they know how to play the system very well !!

Honestly, I think this has been known for quite some time. It sure doesn't sound like the Mayor, though getting blind-sided like this. Perhaps, and this is just MY guess, he underestimated the desire, or the efforts of North Canton for the move to take place. Once again, NOT a reflection on the Mayor as I have the utmost respect for him. It's just my hypothesis.

I know a few of you "Cicchinelli haters" are just chomping at the bit to jump on this story. However, if you would have taken the time to read the whole story, you would have seen that it was reported that the Mayor had several meetings on the situation and was on top of the situation of trying to thwart Myers' move. However, in your haste to criticize, you once again don't report the entire picture

Rush Fan - yes, the Mayor brought Walmart to Massillon - but what about A.R.E., U.S. Chemical, 5-D, the new Meadow's Plaza, Nickels' Bakery, Ziegler Tire, Sterilite,,,,need I go on.
