There was a feature story on Fox News tonight on this topic. Is there anyone familar with the practicality of doing this?

It's certainly not for the novice car person and it's not going to be cheap or easy. A lot of work involved and you're going to need to be fairly mechanically inclined. You'll also want to know a little something about electric too. I've never read websites of how they make their electric cars, but your typical designsrequires a lot of fab work to make on a standard automobile.
