As the final seconds began to tick down in our victory last week, I heard something that disgusted me. Our student section began to chant "Overrated".

Now, from the dozen our so times I've had to hear that from the Parochial Punks, along with such classics as "Drive Home Safely", and "Why So Quiet", I remember thinking that they represented their schools as a bunch of classless punks. Apparently this isn't limited to Ohio parochials either, as the St. Joseph students were doing the same. (Though they got what they deserved in the end! Way to go Wildcats!) Now hearing our own students do the same sickens me.

Cheer our team. Be loud, be proud! But don't degrade the other team. It's a total lack of class and respect.

I probably wouldn't have said ti so boldly, but I must admit that I agree. It's in very poor taste. From where I sat, it didn't seem to go on for very long, so maybe it was a poor choice by a couple of people and several others hopped on board without thinking.

Anyhow, I hope we won't do that again.

Victory for one, don't have to mean humiliation for another.

Let the guys who play the game do the talking with their performance on the field.

Maybe, but needed. Unfortunately I don't have the time to get on as much as I used to
