With High School Football coming up quick (Thank God!!!), with all the mess going on with oil prices at the pump, food costs going up, and all other areas going up or cancelling; Will High School Football across the nation be an escape from the mess we as a nation are in?
Outside of voter turn out being huge this election, escapes to football games and other traditions may have larger turn outs than expected. I know my wife and I have been going to matinees recently. It has been years since we went to the movies. Like everyone else, gas prices have altered where we go, or can go. Can't afford to see the Browns, but would like to see some college games, and definitely can go to H.S. games. The less expensive the better!!!

I agree that HS football will help a little, for the schools playing home games. I think you are going to see less fan turnout for visiting teams just based on gas prices. However, I don't think you'll see a problem with the Orange and Black traveling. If you want to see some college games, head over to Alliance. The PURPLE Raiders are quite a show and it doesn't cost that much.

I bet the push is going to be from crazy fan parents screaming about there kids not getting to play to angry fan parents who are going to say well they should play here because we have better field, setting, etc & the other team will do the same.
No one will want to drive to the games let alone bussing the band, equit & players. You think the school system needs a tax increase now? Wait till football starts.

This might be a little off topic but does anyone know when season tickets go on sale (I have never bought them and decided to this year) and how much they are?

That Massillon puts on one great show at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium! The Swing Band is always exciting to watch when they take the field because they are a dancing band, not a marching one, even though they do both. The whole atmosphere especially when the teams are loaded with talent and good records by time they meet each other makes for a nail biting game!!!
Guys, it is good to forget your troubles for a bit, Lord knows we are going to embrace it this year. With anger at the audacity that we are stupid citizens and will buy into the lies told as to why gas is so high, and that oil profits are where they should be is absolutely ridiculous!
You mean to tell me the C.E.O.'s of Boeing, GM, Ford, Airbus, Chrysler and all companies across America can't get together and say to the oil C.E.O.'s enough is enough?!!!!!! We're about to shut down, my wife and I are going over all spending each time the oil goes up. I want my horse and buggy!!!
