The rocker beat out the young crooner by 12 million votes

I was so happy to see this guy come out on top tonight. My favorite part of the show was when he got to sing with ZZTop:rockon:

i thought it was funny when cook won. i could only imagine how david a's daddy would respond. he'll probably demand a recount.

i'm glad david c won. david a is like a beauty queen who's been groomed to perform waaay too much.

the zz top performance definitely was the best part of the show.

I didn't watch AI this year for some reason. Funny thing is, I didn't even miss it! It was kinda nice having my Tues/Weds free.

David A's dad was pretty upset ... it's back to living under the stairs for his boy.

Cook deserved to win. He was the most innovative performer all season. David A. doesn't have to worry. He can really sing. ZZ Top rocked!

I did not watch it live, it must of ran over its 2 hour time frame because he said the winner is david & then the dvr stopped & asked me to save or delete:down:.

He looks like the guy i stepped over, begging me for change, while going into Cleveland Browns Stadium last fall.

Saw the runner up on the local news today. Kid seems like a class act.

I didn't catch one episode from the last 2 years. I'm glad I never got 'hooked' on this show.

it's not so much as needing to get a life, as the networks need to put on better shows that are worthwhile watching...

while it may not be emmy material, it is certainly better than a whole lot of what else is offered on the boob tube these days...a few weeks ago, time warner called wanting to offer me a discount on a dvr box so i could record a second show while watching a first...told her "what's the point, when i have trouble finding one show to watch, let alone two?"...

if it were not for my husband having to have his columbus channel for buckeye football, and his O'Reily factor...i would be where i was before we got married...happily without a tv (went nearly 2 years without one...only thing i missed was football season...went to friends to catch the games)...reading a good book and actually getting things done...(basically the same as if i didn't have the internet)

other than this show and dancing with the stars...there is not a single show on any of the network channels that has even remotely interested me the past few years...or you start to watch what may be a good one, and they cancel it after a few shows...so, what's the point???

much of what i watch are old reruns of shows like "walker, texas ranger", murder she wrote...home renovation shows on hgtv and diy channels...and recently, i have caught a show called "dirty jobs"...the one where he was working on a dairy farm: milking, inseminating, and delivering cows...haven't seen anything so funny in a loooooonnnnnnng time...until the next episode i watched, which was the turkey inseminator....saw things i never wanted to see before...and probably never want to see again...and certainly learned things i never imagined i would...:jestera:
