What a day!

Yesterday, I was covering Lake's district semfinal softball game against Jackson at Genshaft Park and I had the pleasure of seeing a lot of familiar faces but one new face really stood out to me: Darla Hattery.

It was an honor to meet Mrs. Hattery, who spoke candidly of posters DAWGH8R, MRSDAWGH8R, and lastly, the venerable Kamd50 along with several others. In addition to that, I also got to meet Akron softball head coach Julie Jones who told me she liked "names that begin with K"...in part to strikeouts :laughing:!

Once again, there were more memories to cherish and it was a blessing to meet Mrs. Hattery and Coach Jones! It couldn't have happened any better!

Darla raised some of the best pitchers that Massillon Softball has ever seen. She dedicates a LOT of time to Massillon Softball, even after all her kids are long past high school days.

I'm glad you get to see my mother-in-law more often than me !! :smartass:

That was my first time seeing Mrs. Hattery. Too bad I didn't get a chance to see her...BLAME THE JACKSON POLAR BEARS for beating Lake in that district semifinal in softball yesterday...(they lost to North Canton Hoover today 3-1).

You just keep bringing the pain...and I'll keep on rising to fame!
