rugby???

does anyone happen to know any area clubs that want to take on new players?
if you know of any please list them ive been looking for a while the closest one i can find is in akron. hoping there would be one in massillon.

The Akron Area Rugby Club is the only one I'm aware of in the area. I've been there to watch matches a couple times and it's fun. I know they are looking for more people.

My son played rugby at the Coast Guard Academy. It's football with no protection! It's pretty brutal! I don't know of any other areas either.

I had some friends from college who played for the Canton Maddogs years ago. I think they just practiced with them or something since they were college athletes and the coaches found out about it.

My husband used to play for the Canton Maddogs, but they are now a team made up of high school players. As was stated before Akron has a team. The other team that I remember the Maddogs playing was the Cleveland Rugby team, but that is a bit far to drive.

The website, under "news," says they are having a Men's team. Maybe it depends on they get enought players.
