With last years closing of Geauga Lake and todays anouncement of the closing of the American Icon Coney Island do you suppose the end of the Amusement Park Era is near an end with gas prices and economy issues?

There arent many Amusement parks left in Ohio and from what I hear on forums relating to amusement parks Cedar Fair Inc. Is having financial trouble after buying out Paramount Parks in 2006. Seems they bit off more than they can chew this time with their buy the competition and run them into the ground antics that befell Geauga Lake.

Get your facts straight. G.L. was doomed way before Cedar Fair took over. they tried to save the park any way the could. The company who had it before Cedar Fair invested more money inot that park then what it was worth. Cedar Fair tried to save it any way it could. So dont blame them for the park closing.

Don't waste your breath RAPTOR, I've tried telling him this before... Six Flags killed the park, not Cedar Fair.
