If this is the way the Indians season is going to go, I think I'm all fed up already. Our relievers keep giving up key runs and don't keep the game close and it takes an act of congress for our team to even score a few runs to help out our starting pitching which has been the only bright spot thus far. I know its early in the season but come on! I just don't think I can take another year of watching these overpaid players stink up the joint! Anyone else feel like I do? Please speak up!

can't win unless you are scoring runs.....other than borowski i would say the bullpen hasn't been too bad. it all goes back to the offense. what happened to one of the league's most dominating offenses? it's a long season, and baseball is a game of streaks. hopefully, the offense comes around or maybe marte comes around as a third basemen so the tribe can do what they should have with blake years ago. today was the second time this season that blake has had a costly throwing error in a close loss. he is inadequate at third base and would be better set in the utility roll. once again though, he is not the reason the indians are struggling. we would probably be in first place if we could average 4 runs a game on a consistent basis which is pretty sad from the days we averaged almost 8 runs for an entire season.

It's early, you can't win or lose anything in April of a Major League Baseball season. The bats will come around, the bullpen will be fine, and we have one of the best starting rotations in the bigs. Nobody should panic yet it's way to early.

OK, its not early anymore and we're still smelling up the joint! Any comments?

For the life of me I do not understand how in the world Derick Shelton is still the hitting coach. We are at the half point of the season and still no one on the team is hitting. The only one who is doing decent at the plate is sizemore, the rest of the team is doing horrible. I wish I could be that bad at my job and stick around. Also I think it is time for the tribe to part ways with Peralta. He moves like he wears cynder blocks as shoes and he isn't that good at the plate either. His offense does not make up for his lack of defense. There are balls I think he should get to and of course they go for hits. It would be nice if Cabera could turn it around that way he could be your everyday shortstop. I think its also time the Indians did what I told them to do a long time ago and get rid of C.C. Yes he is doing good now but so far this season he has pitched like he always did, one game Cy Young the next game the 6th starter for the Royals staff. Sad thing is now you are not going to be able to get for C.C. what you could have during the offseason when I thought they should have traded him away to begin with. SO frustrating so far especially after everyone had such high hopes for the team.

I don't think anyone has scored less runs that Cleveland this year. Better unload CC now, while you can still get something for him. He has already said that he wants Santana money. NO WAY !!

I would keep C.C. for the rest of the year. Try and sign him then, if not, get the draft picks for him. The problem is the teams who have been rumored to want him probably will not need him. The Cubs and Red Sox are winning their divisions and I cannot see either of them giving up much for him. The Yankees may want him, but their current trade prospects are less inspiring in the majors and minors. You do not want to trade him to the Tigers being in the same division and the Tigers pretty much gave up many young prospects already trying to win a World Series now. I think the Dodgers may be interested, but they have a number of holes to fill and I do not think one pitcher will do the trick. I can see all of these teams going after him in the off season, but we need to get a great deal for him if we are going to trade him.
The Indians are terrible. Yes, the have had injuries, but the team healthy lacks good/consistant hitters. They should can the hitting coach and Shapiro should be done at the end of the season. I think he knows pitching talent, but lacks knowledge with the other positions. It didn't take a genius to see the team did not have the power to score many runs. Even healthy, that would be the case.
I am sure the team is already planning a fire sale. We could lose C.C., but I would guess Casey Blake and several other fan favorites will be gone. I do think the Dolan ownership is a problem and I am not sure their is enough will to spend the money to put a serious contender on the field year in and year out. Most of the consistant contenders re-tool their team every year, even if it means spending the money (e.g. Tigers). The Indians did very little in the off season and Shapiro got them locked in to some larger contracts that have had poor results this far. I won't even get started on Wedge and his contract extension.
