Lost in all this is the fact that Shawn received his college diploma in graduation ceremonies Saturday from that school up north. Congratulations on THIS accomplishment, young man. It will serve you well in life long after your football career has ended. Your family should be extremely proud of you.

Not so. There was a thread and link to story started three days ago congratulating him and family on his graduation, to which there were zero replies.

Congrats to a man who has accomplished his dreams in one weekend! Graduation and being drafted by a top NFL team---I couldn't think of a better weekend for Shawn to have had. Shawn has worked hard since seasons end to work on pass coverage skills in Florida and at UM with the new UM staff and I think he is ready!! GO PATRIOTS!!!

He should learn alot this year from all the experienced LB's on the Patriots roster and may get some playing time with the aging group nearing retirement. New England got 2 solid LB's in Mayo(Tenn) and Shawn to fill the gaps in the defense.

2 young men that I love were drafted yesterday---Paul Hubbard was taken by the Browns in the 6th round!! I have been knowing Hubbard since he was around 10 years old. I served in Colorado Springs with his mother and father in the Army. Great job growing into a WR since he never played in HS but was a State long jump champion. he originally went to Wisconsin on a track schollie but Coach Alverez(at the time) asked him to join the football team.

Did I say "lost in all this in MassillonProud"?? I didn't think so. It was just a byline in the article I read, that's all. Geez.

Excuse me. I thought Kamd50 was saying he did NOT. I was coming to your defense. I don't know why I try with you buddy.

warren1st,

Kamd50 is fine. It's CarlE that you and I are united against when it comes to the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry. And that includes the Massillon connection of a battery of posters who are OSU fans.

Kamd50 brings out the best in me because she allows me to display my full arsenal when I'm at my best!

Hopefully Shawn will get that Patriot rifle locked and loaded for Sundays!

What are you talking about??? Where was I saying that he did NOT graduate from anywhere? My post was in response to the "lost in all this" comment. To which I was simply stating that the fact of his graduation was not "lost" as I had posted a thread previously for the soul purpose of announcing/congratulating Shawn's graduation.

Nor did Carle need any defense on my account, as I was never attacking him, but rather pointing out a simple fact as far as recognition of Shawn's grad. on this website.:upside:

Kamd50 - I have no quarrel with YOU whatsoever. In reply to CarlE's post your first two words were, "Not so." I took that to mean he did not graduate. It's my fault for just skimming the rest of your post.

Yes, it's my fault. Sorry.

Congratulations to Shawn on becoming a Graduate and a Patriot.

In this day when athletes sometimes choose to leave school early and join the Pros, it’s good to see someone like Shawn who has his priorities straight. Education first. (Hope you get that masters degree you want).
(Thank you Kamd for posting the other thread regarding this.)

He worked to achieve his dreams. What an inspiration he can be to our present and future TIGERS!

I think we are going to be hearing great things from Mr. Crable. God be with you Shawn on your journey forward.
