OK, This is wierd !

So' it's around 3am this morning. everybody is fast asleep. Now here'e the weird part.. I am JOLTED AWAKE by this really wierd noise.. it sounded like a whip then a snap..(really!..) it was like the sound a tape measure makes when it whips back into the coil. It seemed to be like an echo from the northwest ceiling of the room. There's nothing there.. the only electric running was the room air conditioner. Again, I was asleep, so maybe it was in my head.. But to be startled awake by somthing as odd as that is beyond me.. any idea's??

OK, all seriousness aside, I have heard of this before.
Do you have an aquarium in that room?
If so, what creatures reside in it?
And have any new odd creatures been added to it recently?

Have you ever heard a bluegill feeding?
Sometimes they make a sound just as you described, and as loud as a 22 rifle shot.

You're right Chuck.. I really do set myself up sometimes.. It's kinda fun though. To answer the question; No fish..nothin in the room.. I don't have a problem if it's a ghost; what REALLY scares me is the possibility that it could be an electirc issue.

Speaking of weird, in the past month a radio in our kitchen has turned ON by itself 3 times and a touch lamp in the living room has come on by itself about 6 times at various times of the day, but never after dark.

Now, I'm trying to think of a logical explanation for the radio, but no one else in the house was using a remote at the time so I don't know what to make of that. Now the touch lamp could be maybe power surges?

Anyone want to chime in, go a head.
