For those interested, ESPN is taking suggestions for their upcoming 20-town competition for the title of "TitleTown USA" -

Maybe 22 state football championships and 9 national football championships, along with unparalleled tradition and excellence, warrant some consideration...

Anyone agree?

Who is going to do our video and essay? No way the winningest football team in Ohio shouldn't be on the list! Canton as well should nominate the bulldogs for consideration!

Absolutely Massillon. I'm from Kentucky, from a small town with five championships and six runners up in our class. I was fortunate enough to witness two Tiger games last fall and have never seen anything like what Massillon has. They have PRIDE. The entire city. Pride in thier football tradition. I think they should run a program on ESPN looking for the annual runner up for this title. Massillon is football!

Sorry for the double entry. Was thinking of editing but changed my mind. Remember, I'm from Kentucky and this is a puter.

Yes -- someone should get this in front of our Booster Club and see if they can nominate the great city of Massillon! They could start out with the blurb about how God made only one Massillon because He knew that would be enough. There's no one better than us!!

While I'd love to see both Canton and Massillon on the list, this isn't about high school sports (where they'd both be natural selections). It's all-inclusive in terms of pro, college, hs, etc.... we don't have much of a chance there unfortunately :scratchchin:
