that you must pay to see you brother play ball they get tickoff .come on massillon! quit making massillon look like the bad people that some think we are!!!!

We have some of the best facilities in the state of Ohio. I'm sure the upkeep is not cheap. What's a couple of bucks ??
Sack up, and know it's for a good cause !! :gotigers:
PS. EVERYONE is paying HIGH gas prices, and ......... alot of people are paying taxes and have NO kids in school !!!
Thank goodness the visitors can watch their team play at their own stadium for free !

Hey I am a baseball fan so I think football should be free.
What is the logic here guy? All other programs are garbage that dont deserve it? Something about the spring? You are a fan and like going but not to support the kids? I guess I dont get it. Although I know MANY people like that - a friend of mine wastes money like a drunk sailor but something like $1 to park and he's ready to join a militia.

Come on, I am sure that the baseball program needs money just like every other sports program does. Ten dollars for the entire season is about as much as you would pay for one football game with a coke and a hotdog. That's not a bad deal, imo. I will agree that it should be cheaper for students/children though. Maybe a buck a piece would be sufficient.

What about the umpires? They have to be paid.

When you think about what you have to pay for a professional sporting event or a concert anymore, plus parking and concessions, ten bucks is nothing. I just got two of the cheaper tickets for a Yes concert in Columbus, and they were almost as much as my two Massillon season football tickets, plus all the away games. Two of the more expensive tickets totaled $321!
I believe that you can buy a season pass to all spring sports for $10. That seems like a fair price to support our sport teams.
When my son and daughter were in high school, we would have to pay to get into the events when we would go to away meets. Most schools charge a fee to get in.
I do agree that the single game admission may be to high.

Since a majority of fans of the minor sports are often in some way conected to the players and contribute to the players through fundraisers and participation fees in off season teams I believe they feel they are unfairly paying more than their share of the fees for these sports. Maybe the coaches could include a game pass for those who contribute to these programs in addition to whatever else the fundraiser includes.
For the casual fan a $10 pass for all sports doesn't seem to be unreasonable.

Grounds crews, officials, security at games(todays society), etc,... has to be paid somehow. We are previleged in Massillon that student/athletes play sports free of charge, get most equipment, shoes, acceseries, etc,... FREE as well!!!! Alot of schools charge students $250-$1000 to participate and also have to purchase their own gear. WE IN MASSILLON ARE PRIVLEGED by the boosters and taxpayers so $2-$5 to get in a baseball game, track meet, etc,... is NOTHING to ask parents, fans, students,, or anyone else wishing to watch the Tigers IMHO. Massillon has been charging for spring sports since I was in HS so nothing has changed really.
OH---Some cities do not even have middle school or freshman athletics because of no money---we are lucky!

Every away game I've ever attended at the high school level, from football to basketball to soccer to baseball, has charged an admittance fee. We aren't the only school charging admittance.
Why would a Spring sport be any different than a Fall sport? The facilities STILL have upkeep!
I know when our son was running track, every school that we attended they charged to get in. I don't think $10.00 for a season pass for spring sports is bad at all.

I think $10.00 sounds pretty reasonable for a season pass.
(Can we get that same deal for fall sports????) http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_3.gif

outside of parents students are the only ones that show up for baseball and most wont if they have to pay.
