You mean this series of commercials?

I know it's not the one discussed, but thought I'd post this. I'll look for the other one.

Here's another two:

Does anyone know anything about Nike Filming in Massillon or our images used for the upcoming commercials? That's pretty darn cool that we made it on there.

Well the schedule says it's a home game for Briscoe, so that answers my question. Still curious about the rest though.

You do know that it's a fictional high school right?

It's named for Marlin Briscoe.

Marlin Oliver Briscoe (born September 10 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_10), 1945 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1945) in Oakland, California (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oakland%2C_California)) is a former American football (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_football) professional wide receiver (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wide_receiver)/quarterback (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quarterback) who played American professional football for nine years. Before being drafted in 1967, Briscoe played football at Omaha South High School (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omaha_South_High_School) and at the University of Omaha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Nebraska_at_Omaha). Briscoe started his career in the American Football League (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Football_League) in 1968, with the Denver Broncos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denver_Broncos), where he became the first starting black quarterback of the modern era. In 1969 he went to the Buffalo Bills (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_Bills), and after the AFL-NFL merger, he played in the NFL from 1970 though 1976, mostly with American Football Conference (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Football_Conference) teams. During eight of his nine years, Briscoe was a receiver, but he is best known as the first modern African-American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African-American) quarterback, playing the position as a rookie with the Broncos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denver_Broncos).

The St. Thomas Aquinas on that schedule is not the one from Louisville. Fort Lauderdale STA is one of the best teams in Fla. year in and year out.

Nine state titles? Weaklings. If we flooded the Nike email boxes, do you think they could give us a win that week? Massillon doesn't take anything about football lightly.

Are they doing a whole season (in the commercials)? I'm sure they were produced long ago. I just hope the Tigers can keep it close.

I feel a boycott of Nike coming on if we don't get our love when Briscoe plays us

Why are we playing away? Did we sign a home-and-home with them so they "come here" next year?

HANG THE HAWKS!!

If the Tigers are having to do this, the move to the Fed must be right around the corner. This was the response from Nike. Not the personalized response for which I was hoping.

Wear Nike, Adidas, Converse, whatever. My point is Tigertown doesn't like to lose, even to a fictional team.

I guess it's Al's turn! Hope you're having fun. Wow, what a good one. That's kind of lame trying to put a bad spin on something one of the highschool groups are doing.
The ones the KIDS are selling are not Nike products and don't have the Nike swish on them like some certain business does:hug:
And last I heard, Nike doesn't own the word "witness".

Did I read somewhere that Larry Harper(1970 Massillon team) is a top executive for Nike? If this is true, could that have any bearing on Massillon being in a Nike commercial?

I didn't know that. If it's true, c'mon Larry pull some strings and get us the win! Shula can talk about "building character and learning from this loss." It will be a positive message for the kids.

Thanks for clearing that up, Dawgh8tr, as it appears my word isn't good enough to be taken. Mr. Richard's class deliberately excluded the swish as to not get into legal trouble with Nike. Now............I don't know about the "other" shirts that are being printed up, but it's kind of crappy if they stole the idea from the kids.

On the contrary !!! The kids may have stolen the idea from a local business owner !!! He has had the shirts over 4 months. In fact , his first shirts still listed Massillon playing at Kent State Stadium , for the Herbie !! After the schedule "change" he switched the venue to PBTS !!:wow:

SO,............................ who copied who ???????

Kamd50

Are the other shirts officially licensed Nike products? The kids got the idea from someone else, not from the merchant.
