I want to thank every Tiger player for stepping up and playing Tiger football as you gave me memories forever with your performance. This was a great football game between two outstanding teams and you met the challenge and proved to each and every player that if you stay focused and play each game like this,what you are capable of achieving.Enjoy this victory today but start preparing for Mentor tomorrow and work hard as this is a short week.Remember how great you felt at the end of this game and how you can fill if you play every game like this. So many players stepped up and played great football and that is what makes a great team when each player contributes when playing hard,every down. This team had outstanding speed and every time they ran a play,they were dangerous. We got them down right away with our tailback pass but they came right back and scored the next 17 points. The Tigers didn,t fold and you kept playing Tiger football as each team was really hitting. They had come into our house and in the second quarter and a were a confident team with a 17-7 lead but you determined not to lose. The halftime adjustments and that mental desire to win led to the victory. We ran 69 plays to their 54 and the time of possession was the Tigers with 30.08 to 17.52 for them and was a big factor in winning the game as we pounded on them and it took its toll. Another big factor was the difference in kickoff return yardage as we had around 133 yards to their 20 or so yardage. The time posession thing kept the ball away from their offense but I think that the biggest factor for the victory was that you played with the pride of wearing that Tiger uniform and playing your heart out.
