I know Nordonia was in D-2 for a few years, esp. '04, '05, & '06.
Whoever was their coach then was not on MY "list"... Nordonia couldn't get past Tallmadge in the D-2 playoffs through this period.

Yep. Nordonia moved to D1 last year.

The stats that Tiger Don gives on Jason Halls record is very interesting. He has been rebuilding programs and that makes his record not look to good but you must take this into account. The records shown by Tiger Don is 39 wins and 26 loses. His third season at Brush was 5-5 and that is a little shaky. The total points for the 04-05-06-and 07 seasons are 845 points on offense and 850 points on defense. I did not have the scores in 02-03 seasons except the 35-7 loss to Cleveland Benedictine. Ok, coach Hall comes in and turns a football program around. That's a sign of a pretty good coach. But then he leaves. I thought we want a coach who is going to stay a while. To turn this program back to what it was and better. Now if he is planning to stay for a while and if he is the leading candidate then lets see if we can get him. But if he just want to put us on his resume, I don't know.

Why would he want to do that? Take this job just for his resume to get one of the top jobs in Ohio? are you kidding me .All i read is this is the top job in Ohio isint it. With some of the post ive read on here no wonder you cant keep a coach

Well, being an excoach, and if you had a career record the same as coach Hall's, my opinion about you would be the same. There's no criticism in what I am saying. And please tell me what part of my post is a reason that a coach wouldn't stay here. If anything, it should give cause to prove me wrong. I hope that if he is our future coach, he will be here for a while. Even if coach Paul Brown applied here with even better records, but also coached as many teams in the same amount of time, unless he says he plans to stay here for a while, my opinion would still be the same. Yes, this is one of the top jobs in Ohio. And excoach, you better be able to take the bad just as well as you take to good.

Just to set the record straight, Nordonia has only met Tallmadge in the D II playoffs once, and that was a 41-20 whupping by Nordonia in 2006. Tallmadge beat Nordonia only once 23-0, and that was in the season opener of 2005, a year Nordonia didn't qualify for the playoffs.
The two teams will meet in the 2008 Season opener.
