Thank goodness for Massillon Proud and its forums. The Inde's bold venture into allowing reader comments lasted exactly four days. The paper's new, "improved" web site forums apparently gave the paper's critics too much of an opportunity to sound off. So, no more reader comments. That feature has been discontinued. No surprise, really, considering the state of things aboard that sinking ship. Is the end near? :scratchchin:

Now if the Inde would ditch On The Line.
A critic can still do the courgeous thing, and write a letter to the editor.
Of course, that would mean making your name a matter of public record, and open yourself to reverse criticism.
Whats good for the goose should be good for the gander, but the anonymous critics dont wish it to pertain to them.

The internet would be a totally different place if everyone was made to give their full name and place of employment!

Good, glad they dumped it.
We must give a big THANK YOU to the mean spirited YAAHOOs that brought that poor excuse of a paper to it knees. We could not have done it without you.
I want to know what took so damn long.
There was a news type hour on TV not to long ago about people hiding behind the internet. There has been several recent court ruling in favor of people who were slandered. The court ruled that it goes way beyond freedom of speech.
Maybe its something to think about.
I miss not getting the paper......nothing to wrap my garbage in.

I couldn't agree more. Then punks like man2man, TigerSupport, and Section13PBTS wouldn't have the guts to post some of the trash they put on here.
