C/P.......................After suffering a recruiting defeat at the hands of Jim Tressel for Terrelle Pryor, Rich Rodriguez came back and fired a shot acros the bow of OSU on Friday when he landed the verbal commitment from maybe Ohio's top athlete in the 2009 class, Justin Turner.

Congrats to JT !! Perhaps he can become the next Massillon player to Captain the Maize & Blue !!:tig:

Well I just want to say that JT made the decision all by himself and that is how it is supposed to be.

I knew a few days ago but promised I would not tell anyone. Illinois has off the field problems with players and JT didn't want a part of that. OSU wanted him but his heart is with the maize and blue! The decision was made from his heart and what fits his academics and football ability. It is a great fit on either side of the ball.

Coach Rodriguez has also been going after Fremont Ross WR Terrance Davis. Rodriguez has been trying to recruit Terrance since he was at WVU and is continuing to try now that he is at UM. Terrance is also being recruited by every Big 10 school except Iowa, as well as ND, the three major Florida schools, Alabama, and USC among others. Congratulations to Justin for committing to a fine university. And NO, all Ohio kids should not automatically have to go to OSU, that's ridiculous.

J.T. did earn it. I drove up from Kentucky twice last year and he is one of the best I've seen in a long time. Got to meet him at the Buchtel game and he's a good kid too. Do well, young MAN! I know you will.
