MASSILLON, OH — It seems every day brings with it a new football scholarship offer for Massillon junior Justin Turner.
On Thursday, it was Michigan State which joined the rapidly-increasing list of suitors tripping over themselves to land the highly-touted Tiger defensive back. Before the Spartans, fellow Big Ten members Ohio State, Michigan and Illinois which offered Turner a spot in their 2009 recruiting class, as well as Big East members West Virginia and Pittsburgh.
Even Mid-American Conference schools Toledo and Ball State have tried their best, being the first two to get their foot in the door last summer while Turner was at a camp.

I drove to Massillon twice last fall from Kentucky to witness Tiger Football firsthand. One player who stood out to me was Turner. You can bet those won't be the last offers. Another player I liked very much was the Herring kid. Did he sign anywhere?
Those two weekends were so exciting. I fell in love with the Tiger spirit and will return every year. GO TIGERS!

Can never have too many Tiger fans! I know what you mean, I'm not from Massillon either but take in as many games as I can...Although I'm quite a bit closer than you. Make sure you come this year, it will be way better than last year and keep week 10 open, if you've never seen a Massillon McKinley game you're in for a real treat. I think eveyone at least once in their life needs to see one.

I was at the McKinley game last season and am still in awe of the whole thing. As long as I'm able, I won't miss another one. I already have my room booked at the Hampton for this years game.
I agree that anyone who loves high school football must witness that environment. I was lucky enough to have a locker room and sideline pass last year for the McKinley game. I am also coming for the St. Ignatius game.

It really was awesome. Both weekends we were in Massillon for tiger games we were treated better than at home. We found a city and team that we love. There's an article in The Independent on Oct.29, 2007. See if you can get it. I have it framed along with the jersey. GO TIGERS!
