Last night, I watched Manny Pacquiao's 12-round split decision win over Juan Manuel Marquez on HBO PPV. I was listening to the commentary of Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant, and Emanuel Steward.
I hear an animal name used a lot. The animal used is a (brace yourselves).........tiger.
Lampley said late in the fight during an exchange that "Marquez and Pacquiao are fighting like tigers!"
I hear the tiger name used a lot from boxing commentators. I'd like to know why announcers use the tiger a lot and no other animal......
