Who is the longtime radio guy for 990?

I was wondering who is the guy that did the Massillon football, basketball and baseball games on 990? He has to be without a doubt a legend for this town. I notice that he didn't do the games this year, did he retire?

I have been led to believe it was political. That is a shame, because Jim Bryan, Joe Kertes, and Bill Caples did a great job. Of course you can argue they were biased, but they are all from Massillon...what do you expect. I'm not sure what caused the problem, but I can tell you last years coverage wasn't as good as it used to be, IMHO. I think Bill Caples filled in on one of two broadcats last year, but I am pretty sure he didn't...Retire!! I thought the old crew brought color and nostalgic moments to their broadcasts. Any one of the three can give volumes of Tiger Football History. Ray Jeske just doesn't have it IMO, whether it is play by play or color...he is a nice guy, but he hurts my ears!

Bill is semi-retired. He had hip replacement surgery. The steps were a problem. He is on the Ray Jeske show avery morning 7:00am-9:00pm

Ray Jeske is a joke doing games. He worries more about getting his plugs in for the local pizza joint than he does for calling the game. He missed the kickoff more often than not last year. There's a reason that WTIG is the lowest rated radio station in Stark County.

I just listen to the guys on the internet. They do a good job and I for one greatly appreciate the games and the call in show afterwards. How is that funded? Donations, commercials? I for one would gladly donate.

The crew that use to do the broadcast were bias. It was really known when they did the games. I respect a guy like Bill Caples, because he bleeds black and orange. I would love to have a conversation with him on who are some of the best high school athletes he has seen in person.

Ray Jeske is a good guy, but his show sucks badly. He has good guest on there, but the right questions aren't asked.

I look at all of the schools in Federal League. I don't particularly associate myself with just one high school. I like to compare how some high schools do alot with less where others have alot but don't excel.

Thanks for the plug 'W.H.' .. Todd and I have alot of fun broadcasting these games on TSN. We're looking foward to broadcasting this years games as well as the TIGERTALK post game call in show with BIG 'E'. As far as Bill Caples goes, I see him in the press box all of the time and yes he does bleed orange and black. We have invited Bill to join us for halftime highlights several times. He has accepted a few of those invites. We hope to see him again this year.

Bill Caples was and is the only "voice of the Massillon Tigers." Growing up,I used to listen to him on Saturday mornings when W.T.I.G. would replay the broadcast of the previous nights game. He would have programs like "Coaches Hot Seat" and "Meet the Opposing Coach." He would run down the scores of all the games played throughout Ohio. W.T.I.G. at one time was a good station to listen to. Now it's ESPN 990 and it SUCKS!

What do you hope to gain by your constant trolling for a fight on here. You have made your point. You don't like the way the previous coach was treated in your opinion. Do you think HE enjoys your incessant babbling, and the drivel you spew in his defense. If he is HALF the man you say he is, he would probably rather it just stop, BUT YOU WON'T LET IT!!!!

This all makes me wonder if you truly are his friend, and truly have his best interest in mind. Tom Stacy is a good and decent man, he is no longer our coach, enough said....
