Hats Off: to Chandler Hamilton for traveling 1700+ miles and bringing class players, coaches, etc. to Massillon to play the Tigers!

Hats Off: to the Herbstreit Classic for a great match-up between two really good teams (besides a lot of turnovers).

Hats Off: to the Herbstreit Classic for moving the games to Tigertown - what a showcase!

Hats Off: to the Herbstreit Classic for matching-up Massillon with a team from AZ so I could see the Tigers live on TV for the second week in a row (believe me, this week was better than last).

Hats Off: to Cox Cable AZ and the AZ Interscholastic Association for the live broadcast of the game - the broadcast had a few glitches, but the announcers were really fair (realizing that most of their viewers were Hamilton fans), and you'd never believe how they plugged Massillon all the way around, all game long, including the effort by the Tigers. They even gave a little plug for MP.com too.

AND

Hats Off: To the Tigers for....

- a great comeback.

- great adjustments by Stacy and his coaches at halftime and the players executing those adjustments in the second half.

- frickin' Bobby "go ahead and give me a cheap shot, 'cause I'll keep comin atcha" Huth for overcoming an early INT and having a fine game.

- to Stacy for trusting the passing game in crucial 3rd downs to keep drives going when we truthfully didn't at times.

- BG for the HUGE INT and HUGE TD near the end of the first half - WE BELIEVE!

- the O-Line - watchout these guys could be good: ask Hamilton after we ran them down in the second half.

- the D, for one never giving in or letting up after getting toasted for a few big plays in the first half, and two, for coming back playing a great game in the second half!

- did I say BG?

- did I say # 26? (talk about leading by example!)

AND

Hats Off for great hitting, second and third efforts, etc on BOTH sides of the ball all game long - WHAT A GAME!

How bout that hit gamble laid down when he decided (as usual) not to run out of bounce? He is so tough.

Everone played so tough!

No kidding. There were some great hits on that field. Gamble lowering the boom was one of them. Props to the kid from Arizona who laid out one of ours on a long run in front of the Tiger side of the field in the first half I believe. That was a good team. Way to go, Tigers. Hopefully, this carries over for the next several weeks (and months)!

couldnt agree more, that was a very fast, very physical, and very good football team. Massillon showed alot of heart hanging in there and getting the win and against a very classy program. Great job Tigers!

Great game Tigers. What a great way to showcase the great Tiger tradition. I bet we sent some shockwaves around the state and the nation. My voice is nearly gone from screaming,we made alot of noise last night and I was so proud of the Tiger Nation. Beat Mentor.

I was on the "Visitors" side last night, and we hung around for the post game stuff. As we were doing so, I was witness to what I thought was some of the classiest, heartfelt stuff I have ever seen at a high school football game. A whole bunch of the Hamilton players came up in the stands looking for family to hug and to console.

I shook a few of the players hands, and told them to go win it all. They were very cordial despite the loss. Very classy stuff. I'd play them again in a heartbeat.

The AZ team was a class act last night. I agree with the previous posts. I would also love to play this team again in the future.

Not much time to post this AM...

I can't say enough about how our TEAM responded last night with their backs to the wall. This was a must win against a team who is as good or better than any team here in Ohio (except for one :cool2:). Hamilton was "scary good" they reminded me a lot of X but wiht more speed at receiver. Their no. 5 (Taylor) was rediculously talented (BigTime D1 player).

I somehow knew that we were going to get them in the end when Hamilton ran off the field at half time pointing to the scoreboard (bush leauge). What come around, goes around!

We can bask in this great vistory today. Monday it's back to work. We have Mentor at Mentor and somehow I don't think that they will be in any great humor after gettign their butts kicked by Iggie last night.

GREAT JOB TEAM!

GO TIGERS BEAT MENTOR!

I was talking to someone when watching the game and only caught the tail end of it. They were definitely talking about websites featuring Massillon Football and they said (about MP) "they even count down the (days), hours, minutes and seconds to the start of the next game."

kudos to THE best high school football website in the nation - IMO

I'm sure the hundreds of tailgaters (complete with RV's, flags and banners) made quite an impression.
