Four of the six teams are deserting the SVC....leaving only Mooney and Ursuline.
WGH, Chaney, East and WJFK.
I highly doubt that they left without a plan. The question is where will they all end up?

The Federal League should try to drop boardman and get WGH. I had heard that either fitch or boardman wanted to drop out before last football season.

Why would they do that? When our AD is done taking out their trash they're going to get us.

This could be an opportunity for Massillon to contact some of these schools about forming a new league, then tell the Fed to go piss off.

Hmmm. I like the sound of that.

You would rather form a new league with WGH and D5 schools from Youngstown than join a D1 league in Stark County? You might as well just add the combined team from School for the Blind and Jerry's Kids to round out the schedule. How many seats does their stadium have?

Did I ask for your critique? I said SOME of the schools, not all of them.

Just curious, which schools are D-5 out of the four that are leaving?

Ursuline is D5. Mooney is D4. JFK is D6. WGH is D1. Chaney is D2. East is D2.
There is no way that we are going to join a Mahoning-Trumble league.
Nor should there be.
No gate receipts and lots of gasoline.

Yea lets join a league where everyone is 1.5 hours away and small schools instead of 10 minutes and d.1 schools... brilliant idea!

So, there really is only one D6 team and not WGH and the rest D5 teams that left the steel valley.

With fuel costs the way they are and probably going to only get worse, I could picture WGH, East, Chaney, Fitch and Boardman doing something. It's only a guess. I have no inside information. One flaw already in my thinking is that Fitch is still ticked that Clarret transferred to WGH. Harding had a nice rivalry with Fitch and Boardman.

Look for St Thomas, Mooney, JFK, Central, and Ursuline to form a Diocese of Youngstown Super Conference league.
Others being considered are Steubenville, Steubenville CC (both will not be admitted) and other fill ins.

St. Thomas and JFK must be masochists if they want in that league.

Why let stuebenville into a league that appears to be an all-Catholic league without them. As an added note, STA must be out of their minds.

Unless the powers at Central have had a major change in thinking, they arent interested in a Diocese conference.
