This is some very intersting tv today, with the two of them basically calling each other flat out liars and congressmen calling McNamee a drug dealer/pusher and so on. With Andy Petit's previous statements being rebutted by Clemens as "he must have misunderstood", it's hard to know who to believe on this one.

I turned it on late but it seems like the situation is blowing up.

No, no, no. Clemens said he "misremembered", which, as Obiewan will tell you, is actually a word.

Clemons is a liar IMO!! Petite has nothing to gain by telling the truth and alot to lose if he lies on the witness stand!! Clemons is busted just like B.Bonds!! I will not defend him or Bonds because they played the steroid game and now it is back firing!!!

The best pitchers in this era are Pedro Martinez and Curt Shilling right now!! 2 great pitchers who's names have never been linked to juicing!!

I felt the same way on football teams with steroid users--play natural and you will be on the bench!!

i do think that all the crap in pro sports is killing the game...i probably have attended my last pro sports game...i have absolutely no intention of paying a dime for some jerk like clemens to play ball...there is no player on the face of God's earth that is worth a million bucks let alone much more...things have gotten way out of hand...no matter the sport...

is there anyone who simply would play for the love of the game??? who would play even if they just got 10 bucks for showing up on saturday afternoon...after a busy work week???

i would like to know why my tax dollars are going to investigate this situation. what does what clemans supposely did have to do with the running of the country??? aren't there more important things for congress to worry about...like poverty...homelessness...immigration?????????????? ??

this should be under the jurisdiction of the commissioner of baseball...but, then, we know that selig isn't good for much in the first place...

i think we should kick every single person who is presently in congress to the curb...and get some people who might actually do the business of running the country...not wasting the taxpayers' dollars on who knows what....like the road to no where...hundreds of dollars hammers or expensive toilet seats...

and we want to elect john mccain as president??? he is nothing but a beltway old timer...

anyone who wastes their time watching these hearings really needs to get a life...

First, I cannot for the life of me understand why this is a matter for Congressional involvement. I dare say there are more pressing issues facing the country than a junkie pitcher.

Second, I heard a very strange news report on the hearings today (CBS news). It cast the hearing entirely in terms of Democrat vs. Republican, with the Democrats hammering Clemens and the GOP taking aim at the trainer. I was not aware this was a politically partisan issue.

Wholeheartedly agree, Wan. Why MY Congress is wasting time on this is just absolutely ludicrous. Rome addressed it today. He also mentioned that this has come down to partisan politics for some unknown reason. Well, for the record I am a STAUNCH Republican that thinks Clemens is a bold-faced, egotisitical freaking juiced LIAR. Whoops, jumped party lines, according to yesterday's events.

the worst part of it all is that congress is just spinning their wheels. absolutely no progress has been made whatsoever. they've wasted a lot of money to be in the same position they were in before these hearings.
