I seen this on Fox 8 tonight. I cant find a link or nothing, but it was about the football player who died at Barberton. It seems like every year there's at least one high school kid from Ohio that dies from some kind of heart problem. I've seen many high school programs that raise money for a Automated External Defibrillator (AED). I don't know if Massillon has one or not, but it might be something good to look into. I know many on here have their connections with the school board, booster club, coaches, and team. Maybe someone could bring this up.

I did find a link from down in Cincy. Many of the teams down there are getting one also..

I know money's no problem, if as a community we can raise how many thousands for new uni's. We can raise the money to save one of our young boys lives. Can someone look into this???

I seem to recall hearing about incidents of this happening in basketball and probably other sports as well. I agree that it is a very good idea worth looking into.

I think we already have one on the sidelines? I know we also have one in the west press box as well.

Not to mention that I am sure they have one in that ambulance parked at every game.

the high school always has at least one available during games in a close nearby location. for the last couple of years, anyone coaching or volunteering must be trained on how to operate them as well.

Since Coach Studer's passing there are AED's in the school building and at all sporting venues. A definite lifesaver if used in time with CPR.

OK, thanks for informing me. I figured we had them especially after Stu's death. Just thought I'd bring it up to make sure.
