Always believe in the US Military when we have young men leading the efforts like these...Our country is in good hands with Marines like this representing us in Iraq....Thank you and god bless you all....

Here is another untold story about the difference a Marine is making. We usually only hear about the negative stuff that's going on over there. Our daughter's boyfriend, Capt. Brian VonKraus, started a soccer league for younger boys in Iraq in his last tour which he just completed; he is due to arrive back at Camp Pendleton, Cal. sometime today(2/12/08). The noble thing about his purpose was the bringing together of Shiite and Sunni boys in hope of tearing down walls that have been marked by centuries of mistrust; and try to get them to realize that there is not that much of a difference between them. He is the kind of guy who would not want any publicity on his behalf on this matter. There truly are some very special people out there who are putting more than their lives on the line for our country.

Sports is ALWAYS a way to break down political and religious barriers. Kudos to Captain Brian. Sounds like he sure knew what he was doing over there. Hopefully, he arrived in Camp Pendleton safely.
