Ohio State football: Late offer well worth wait for Domicone

............Domicone was the star at quarterback and defensive back for Clodfelter at Beavercreek, which last season turned in its first winning record (6-4) in 16 years..................
Twelve days ago, Clodfelter said he called OSU assistant coach John Peterson, the recruiting coordinator, and left one last message alerting him that Domicone was headed to official visits at Oklahoma and Nebraska.

"He called me back that night, and things started clicking all of a sudden," Clodfelter said.

Domicone was offered a scholarship by OSU the next day.

I am wondering if this could be due to anticipation of Pryor signing somewhere other than OSU:scratchchin:

it might be. however, it could be other reasons as well. this kid has good size and speed, and is listed as an athlete on rivals, so they could move him to wr. they may also want to beef up their qb depth. after next year osu will have henton, bauserman, and some guy i've never heard of.

there's a guy on bucknuts who is known to be very credible when it comes to recruiting (some think he's the dad of one of this year's recruits). anyway, he's been saying that pryor will be a buck. however, pryor could just be that good at fooling everyone.

I don't think it has anything to do with Pryor (who I think will be a Buckeye). I have a feeling that they wanted to get a safety in this class.
