The Indians have made a contract offer to C.C. The terms of the deal are unknown however it is reported that it is the largest offer the team has EVER made a player.

The highest contract I remember being offered would be for Manny right? I think we offered him $119 Mil for 7 years. Thats 17Mil a year. So if it is higher than 17Mil a year, I think theres a good cance CC would take that.

This scares me that the Indians are offering him such a huge deal. I have a very very bad feeling that in a few years down the road this will really hurt the club. If C.C. is asking that much money for winning the Cy young this past season while being average if that the previous years then what are a Victor Martinez or a Sizemore going to demand? Those two players have produced year after year so I would assume that they could for more money then what C.C. does. There is no way that Dolan will shell out that kind of money in the future.

Also, since I brought up Dolan. I will say that I am tired of Cleveland fans using the excuse that we don't win the big one because of our low pay roll or we can't compete because of our low pay roll. I will admit that our payroll is at the bottom of the league however that is not due to the fact that Dolan doesn't have the money to spend.Matter of fact, the Indians have one of the highest profit margins out of all the teams in Major League baseball. Therefore, Dolan has the money he just chooses to pocket it. Could you imagine what kind of team the tribe could field if Dolan wasn't so money hungry and went out and signed another top player? The Indians were one game away from making it to the world series but have yet to go out and add something to get them over the hump. It is funny because everyone is up in arms about them changing the stadium name to Progressive field. What everyone should be so ticked about is the fact that nothing will change and Dolan will just have more money to pad his pockets with.I could be wrong but I don't look for Dolan to allow the club to spend that money.

If the Indians actually pay him that much money they are stupider than even I thought they were. But if they DO, I would demand part of the pay go for a freaking dietician. Boy is going to have a heart attack right on the mound some day. Probably after Big Papi goes yard on him for the third straight time!! LOL.
