With a name change to Gund Arena (Quicken Loans Arena) and Jacobs Field (Progressive Field) Do you feel a name change could come to Cleveland Browns Stadium?

FYI: The deal with The Jake is $3.6 MIL / Year through 2024. That is a grand total of: $57.6 MIL.

Do you see this happening in college and maybe high school in the near future?
Didn't Coach Shepas try that once?

If someone wants to pay enormous amounts of money for the naming rights of my stadium, please make all checks payable to me. Of course, it will happen eventually. The problem is, in Cleveland, there aren't many major corporations that would be interested.

The new OSU(Oklahoma State) facilities are being funded by a booster who gets his name on the stadium. The time is coming real soon for college and HS! look at our scoreboard, DREAM project---it is happening now.

I can see the "McGuire Bench" in the future. That's where you would be sitting if I were on the team.

Yes they did. IE: National City Bank Gate, Cleveland Clinic Gate and 2 others I can't remember right now.

Whatever pays the bills right? I know one stadium this would never happen to and I know all of you guys do as well. (hint hint).
I mean if in the long one it helps with the bills and upkeep of stadiums across the county and mostly in Cleveland puts championship quality teams on the field then it is to me kind of worth it. It is said however with the case of Progressive Field that Mr. Jacobs is said to be very offended and upset. Mr. Paul Dolan (Indians President) said this was something in the works for sometime. But we all know the influence and power of money.

The Indians GM has been quoted on TV that they went to Dick Jacobs and asked him if he wanted to renew his naming rights on the stadium. He had the option, but turned it down.

Dick Jacobs is a businessman. That's why he sold the team when he did. It might also explain why he would have no interest in naming rights -- he probably realizes that it's nothing more than an ego stroke that won't add a penny to his bottom line.

Thats interesting. I did not know that. I was just going by what they said in the press release on the indians website. Reporter is heard asking Mr. Paul Dolan "Is Mr. Jacobs offended by this?" to which Mr. Dolan anwsers "Yes".

I have never been to a Browns game and have no desire to pay that much money for a game. However, I have been told there are credit card adds all over the stadium for MBNA. Any truth to this? So instead of Lerner selling the naming rights he just choose to advertise his company all over the stadium.
