I agree. Who cares if he likes the Yankees more than the Tribe. You'll hate him a lot more when he leaves and wins a title elsewhere. Lets just hope he gets some help and can lead us to the championship.

Let's just hope he gets some help and doesn't want to leave!

As much as I hate the Yankees and as much as I hate Lebron and his Yankee fetish, the shoes are nasty.
Check 'em out:

IMO
It is his right to support whatever team he wants, but to flaunt his love for the Yankees in front of Cleveland fans is just bad. It is disrespectful to the city and fans that support him.
I don’t care how important he thinks he is or that he is to the team. He’s from this area and knows how much Cleveland fans hate New York. Come on…have some sense. This just gets everyone all in an uproar unnecessarily. He can make his preferences known but have some discretion and thoughtfulness towards Cleveland.
He has plenty of money and doesn’t need to endorse a Yankee shoe. And, he should definitely NOT be able to wear them during a Cavs game! (From the article -- “Wilkins did not know if James will wear the Yankees shoes in a game. The Cavaliers visit the New York Knicks on March 5.”)
I do like LeBron, but I don’t get the “he can do whatever he wants, as long as he wins”. You have to have some loyalty too.

Why does anyone care what LeBron does? It's not like either he or the NBA is any more important than the corn in my stool...

I thought we lived in a country where you are allowed to dress and act as you feel, why should it be dictated to him that he's not allowed to wear Yankee items while in Cleveland? I mean, I hate the Yankees more than the next person but come on, that ridiculous! Who cares what he wears...

thoughtfulness towards Cleveland.
I think what he has done for Cleveland the past 5 years is more than 'thoughtful'. Its even bigger than Cleveland. He has created jobs and revenue that Northeast Ohio has never seen!
Let him be and enjoy what he is doing because fans like you are going to run him out of town sooner or later.

Sorry guys, no disrespect for LeBron, but it just doesn’t seem to me like quite the right endorsement at this time. But I know he is free to do what he wants.
I also know he can wear what he wants… so, for the next Cav’s game, I think he should show up in he NY Yankee Tu Tu. http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/lachen/laughing-smiley-002.gif
And, I know his being in Cleveland has stimulated the economy in some areas. And, that is a good thing. And, believe me, I would never want to run him out of town. I really like LeBron. In fact, I hope he stays a long time, wins a championship -- (and, of course, coverts to the Browns and the Indians). http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/grinser/grinning-smiley-045.gif
But, what would you think if you heard something like -- Jim Tressel was spotted wearing a University of Michigan hat because he likes their basketball!!! Oh well, as long as he beats them in football and we sell all this merchandise. It would definitely be his right, but WOW the uproar that would cause.

LeBron James is the real deal...best fourth quarter basketball player who supports the best ninth-inning team in baseball (the New York Yankees)!
He should wear the NY shoes against the Knickerbockers!

You actually like someone from Ohio?! Whatch out, you might tarnish your reputation.

Not many people are willing to spend 250 dollars for a pair of tennis shoes.

Less than 1000 pair will be made. Its a collectors item. That is why they will run you a cool $250.
