I would LOVE to see this become reality. For Shawn, The Browns, and his family. I wish him all the best whereever he ends up and most of all god's blessings.

But I just want to play -- wherever I get drafted, wherever they put me."
The mark of a true champion and one who loves and respects the game.
"I'd love," he said, "to get back to wearing orange."
I love this part of what he had to say.

there's absolutely no way he plays for the browns. he'll be gone well before the browns pick. perhaps down the road, but not at the beginning.

The Browns have the #47 pick in the draft i Round 2! I hope Shawn is gone by then but it would be a great fit to replace the aging McGinnest.

The question is what is a bigger priority for the Browns. At this point, I say a DT and not a lb.

Perhaps trade Anderson for Crable or a higher draft pick to get Crable? I dont think that will happen for a rookie, but stranger things have happened in the world of pro sports.

Not even the worst GM would make that move. Good Luck to Shawn and I wish him the best.

I think its awesome we are getting another Massillon Tiger in the NFL. He seems like the kinda kid who wont forget his roots either. Good luck Shawn.

Slightly off topic, but I was sorry to hear both of Stark County's players in the Senior Bowl, Shawn and Perry's Kirk Barton, were sent home due to injuries.
Neither is serious, but with all of the NFL evaluation going on it's better to be safe than sorry.

Day 1 pick PIMP! Just watch the combine numbers on 2/23/08 and see how he does and draft status skyrockets! Conner from PSU and others are not better with above average compitition but numbers look great because of scemes IMO!

connor is a smart player. he deserves the accolades he received.
i think that shawn will put up some nice numbers, but i think that rivers, connor, highsmith, and lehman will go before him.

Rivers and Highsmith I can see but in the East/West game Conners was ran over and beaten in coverage many times and did not perform well--however he is a smart LB but I see him more of a run stopper and Shawn a push rush specialist right now. Conner is a 4-3 LB and Shawn is a 3-4 sceme LB. It is a differance.

Shawn Crable is a Bill Parcells kind of player. I look for the dolphins to trade their top pick in exchange for a later first round pick and a few later picks. Maybe shawn will end up with Miami.

as much as i would like to see shawn drafted in the top 50, i dont think it will happen. every scouting rankings i have seen, they dont even have him a top 5 player at his position, i dont know how they figure that but what i have seen in some mock drafts is 3rd to 4th round which is a joke. regardless where he is drafted he will be a steal for some team if drafted that late.
hopefully the browns can get him!

Shawn just ran a 4.62 40 yard dash(4th best) and 29 eps in the bench press. That is top 5 in Dl and Lb categories in the combine. Also, Shawn is competing in both LB and DL positions to improve his draft stock.

At the 1987 Combine, I ran a 4.72 40-yd and did 26 reps of 225 lbs. With inflation over the years, I should be able to do 41 reps now. LOL!
Congrats to Shawn! The worst thing about these combines is that they pick you apart like your laying on the coroner's table. They focus more on the "what he lacks" versus "what he can bring to the table". They also don't measure a players "motor", or heart & desire to play football. Heck, Chris Spielman was probably one of the shortest, slowest LB's in the draft class, but his heart made him one of th ebest picks that year. You can't measure that.

It doesnt look as if shawn will be coming home as the browns dont have a draft pick until round 4 with the trades they have made.
