Should make for a great bout! Take Roy Jones by stoppage...Trinidad hasn't been in the ring since he was embarrassed by St. Petersburg's Winky Wright in a shocking 12-round landslide decision no one envisioned coming. How Wright had his way with Trinidad is still shocking to this day even though the mindset picked Wright to win.
Jones has won twice by defeating Prince Badi Ajamu and Tony Hanshaw. And if he lands a hard shot on Trinidad, who has been known to go down if hit cleanly, it will be a great night for Jones!
Any thoughts on the upcoming battle?

RJJ is a favorite of mine, but this fight makes me nervous. He looked good against Hanshaw...but Hanshaw is no Tito. I didn't see the other fight you mentioned (against who???).
I say Tito takes it in a decision, but I hope RJJ proves me wrong.

Um, I "envisioned" it, there little Keno and actually predicted it. As far as how he was able to do it wasn't shocking at all. He's a big, defensive left-hander that just keeps counterpunching. Now, for this fight. They're both over the hill but I'll go with RJJ because of Florida. I suspect he has probably stayed out of the cock-fighting business and started training since all the flack with Vick!!! LOL.

I wondered about him doing that...what are the laws for cock-fighting? He surely didn't try to hide it so I assume it's legal?? I never understood how he got away with that...at least without PETA or some other group on his back.

CarlE,
Trinidad's two losses were decisive by the well-rounded Bernard Hopkins and the well-skilled Wright. He was bullied by Hopkins and schooled by Wright. Trinidad hasn't faced a fighter of Jones' superior and elusive talents.
That may be the difference in the fight. If Jones can push the fight into the later rounds, he just may get a stoppage win late. Don't forget, Jones has fought 36 rounds to Trinidad's 12 from 2005 up to now.

I think Roy Jones wins this fight because of power! However like carle said both fighters on the way out. the 4 year layoff hurt Felix. However, ZFelix could shock us and win---Roy aint ROy anymore!
Keno, Wasn't Trinidads last fight a win over Mayorga?? And it aint like Roy has been beating World Champions lately! T. Hanshaw is my dude but lacks punching power to fight for titles right now--IMO! Oh, and I told him that at the massillon/Y. Ursiline game.

monte81,
Trinidad's last fight was a landslide loss to Winky Wright. Jones has proven still at 39 to be fast, powerful, and stylish as he has shown in his last two fights. Whether Trinidad still has that knockout power at 35 remains to be seen.
Jones won the NABF light heavyweight title by beating then-champion Prince Badi Ajamu and added the IBO belt with a win over Hanshaw.
Expect Trinidad's chin to be tested a lot against Jones power, especially in the later rounds if someone doesn't get caught first.
