I can honestly say I'm not as smart as all the rest of you on here but then agian I'm still in High School. BUT, what does the Moeller loss say about the rest of the season? Doesn't it say the boys need to step it up? I mean I think we are a great team this year, maybe not as great as last year but we are still AMAZING! The only thing is I just wonder because the first two games were blowouts I will admit, but then again those teams weren't all that big and they just weren't Moeller and Ignatius and McKinley. Someone please reassure me and tell me we can make this season another like last. I have a lot of faith and I think we can make it an awesome year if we try.:gogogo:

How the season turns out, is really up to the team. They have the stuff Tigers are made of inside. They need to reach way down and step into their destiny. No Mercy!

Your prob just as smart as many people on here. Also, Nobody likes to lose but in the grand scheme of things I think losing to moe will do more for us than beating them would have.

Our attitude is probably the single most important aspect regarding
the rest of season. If our Tigers dig deep and learn from this loss,
we'll be just fine.
I have full faith in this years team, and its coaches. This is a good bunch of kids!:gogogo:
The rest of the season is this week only GO TIGERS BEAT Hamilton
The Tigers just need to correct some mistakes they made and play TIGER FOOTBALL. If you look at the overall picture last week, you will see that we played a good game, It is just hard to be down by that number of points and win. THIS week we need to play TOUGH and REPRESENT OHIO and WE WILL WIN. WE ARE MASSILLON

MTcheer18, I’ll echo what the other posters have said. The 2006 Tigers will be as good as they WANT to be. I know our players understand how important the Team’s success is to the city of Massillon. I have confidence that EVERY player and coach will give a COMPLETE effort this week regardless of their role on the Team.
This week comes down to guts, determination and focus.
Go Tigers! Hammer Hamilton!
It's not over until

I keep saying that the Mental is to Physical as 4 is to 1!! Football is a mental game and as long as the TEAM feels that they can get it done then we will get it done! This season is not over because of one lose! Tigers keep fighting for what you want to accomplish this season and with 100% TEAM effort it will happen!!!
Beat Hamilton!!
Football is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical.

The 80/20 rule applies! 80% mental- 20% physical!
90/10 might just make a player the einstein of football!!
However, we are on the same page! We need to get mentally tough-- and just play football!

This is my opinion on where the Tigers are at right now. This game is huge as we try to rebound from the loss to Moeller When we started this season we knew we had some big spots to fill, especially on defense. We have some potentially good players who need game experence to become good players and that we must stay healthy as we lack depth at some positions. Injuries have hurt this team and there are some weaknesses at certain spots because of lack of experence. Good teams will go after those weaknesses. I am so glad that the team is taking this game as like a playoff game because it will take that kind of effort to win. There are so may things that lead up to being a good football team and being readdy to play every week is one of them and we failed last week. I said last week that we had to bring our A game if we were going to win and we didn,t. It will take our A game this week and maybe even more. Every Tiger has got to give it everything he,s got on every play for 4 quarters. We must win this game even if by one point and stay healthy and get more experence as this team grows! In the past few years ,we have lost to a California team a Florida team and a Pennsylvania team. Our reputation is slipping and it is time to put a end to that by beating Arizona. There is a big difference in being 3 and 1 than 2 and 2 and your playoff chances our still great and the team and coaches have momentum going on the road to Mentor. A loss would be devasting for everyone and not a good scenario for next week. We have alot of things we must improve on this week, starting with covering punts and with probally some new players. A victory keeps us from having our backs against the wall the rest of the season and keeps our reputation high. We also find out just how good the Tigers are and how they handle this big challenge. GO TIGERS FOUR QUARTERS EVERY DOWN

Was I discouraged by the poor performance? Of course I was, but I still believe that we can win any game we play this season. The Moeller game ended the way it did because we beat ourselves. Nobody can turn the ball over that many times and cover that poorly on kicks and expect to win a football game. Because of that, (after consulting the drive chart) on average, Moeller started on OUR 44 yardline. That's right, their average starting field position was on our side of the field, and going one step further, 5 times they started inside our 35. Someone mentioned the defense needed a lot of work, and to that I say you're insane. That defense did a marvelous job for what they were put up against. All that said, the fact that we had it at 24-14 midway through the 3rd says a lot. This Hamilton team coming in better be ready... cause they're entering a pissed off tigers' lair! LAY THE WOOD TO 'EM BOYS!

Somebody is finally talking the right stuff! The "D" is fine and needs minor adjustments! The kicking game and turnovers killed us! I figure if we cant cover punts then kick it away and out of bounds but we cannot get torched on special teams! Special teams cost us a trophy last year!!

FWIW, this being "MASSILLON", ... I'm stunned by the lack of coaching attention to the special teams throughout the years.

I believe the true Tigers will show up Sat. We aren't used to being whupped, we give the whuppings! The coaches will make some changes in personnel to solve some problems, but it's imperative that each player takes this game more seriously all week, than they did Moe. I truly think in Dec, we'll be talking about how the Moeller game MADE our season! Leave it all on the field, and we'll win. Go Tigers! Beat Hamilton!
