Michigan's Mallett planning to transfer [Archive]

It would be too bad if he leaves...he will be a good one.

IMO Mallett will be a great college QB but not in the new UM system. Pryor will start next year as a true freshman and run the team.

Sources say MM #86 is coming back for his senior season---anyone heard about that?

BTW--OSU has the best team returning even if GOldston ,Freeman and Laurititus go to the NFL! No losses on offense and they reload every year on defense.

I am MAD about the media disrespecting OSU's Wr core in Hartline and Robeskie---they will make plays in the BCS title game. Hartline is a real funny dude and I really like him personally and on the field! Those 2 make plays and will do so Monday! OSU wins and UM gets alot faster and better in 1 season!

I read somewhere that Mario would be back, but I can't remember where I saw it. That might change depending on predictions of where he goes in the draft.

Is Pryor planning on trying to play football and basketball? I read that he would rather play in the NBA than the NFL.

I am told that is why he may go to UM or WVU becuase of the bball situation. Tressel supports track/baseball dual athletes but would rather not his projected future star QB tearing ACL's on the court.

Not so fast Monte...Did you see Pryor had a buckeye sticker on his helmet during the Army All American game? They did say that someone put it on while he wasnt looking...but he was still pointing at it on the sideline while the cameras were on....

The announcer said that Posey put the stickers on all players he wanted to attend OSU. He also put the stickers on P. Johnsons helmet as well.

Pryor is reported to have labeled to down to 3 teams
1.UM
2. Oregon
3. WVU

per rivals and scout, pryor isn't considering wvu, let alone have them in his top 3.

osu has a better shot than oregon. i also think that JT would be a little more lenient with him playing two sports in order to get the #1 prospect in the nation.

My sources say it is 60% Um and 40% oregon. I could be wrong but I think he will be the starting QB at Michigan

i wouldn't be surprised if the kid chose an entirely different team. he's all about the drama. first he wore a michigan sweater to the AA game practice, then was on tv with his buckeye sticker. i've also heard rumors that he's going to surprise everyone and choose florida. it's jason gwaltney all over again.

I also heard WV was completely out of the picture. I don't think Oregon is higher than OSU, either.

I read that at one point he was considering Duke as well, and I'm guessing it isn't for football.

60% UM---40% Oregon! That is what my sources say! After the way the oline for OSU played last night he may have canceled them out completely!LOL

Seriously, the kid will attend a school which will allow him to run the spread offense and possibly play bball. WVU was is #1 until RR bolted to UM and now UM is the leading the pack.

Devier Posey put the sticker on his helmet along with a few others he and OSU are wanting to join the recruiting class.

not shocking at all. michigan is really going to have to have some players step up this year. they are losing A LOT............not just good players, but leaders as well. next year might be a little rough.

that's great, but that still doesn't change the fact that gas was under $1.50 the last time the wolves beat the bucks. other notable events from that year: lebron drafted, norah jones wins 'best album' and 'return of the king' won best pic.

Yes Ohio State lost in the National Championship game for the 2nd year in a row. But i would much rather have my team make it to the title game and loose then loose a game in the regular season to a 1-AA school.

I'm going to visit Michigan the weekend of Feb. 1. I'll probably go to Penn State the weekend of Jan. 18. I think I might try to go to Florida some time, too. I've already been to Ohio State. I'm looking at Oregon, but I probably won't visit them.

I would say that Oregon is probably very low on the list if he isn't even going to visit.

Austin - Do you think, honestly, it's a good sign for UM that he visits there the weekend before the Tues. signing date? I don't but my buddy thinks it's avery good sign for Michigan.

Funny you ask that...I was actually thinking that while I was reading the website. I really would say that is a good sign for Michigan. They have the last opportunity to wine and dine him so to speak before the big day and that can be the most impressionable.

Considering he was wearing a michigan shirt and then a ohio state sticker at the AA game, who knows what this kid is going to do in the end. I do like how all of the guys going to Ohio State are recruiting him really hard.

Not me. I think he'll have his mind made up before he goes to Michigan and its tough to change someones mind in the dead of winter. I say he's going to the Florida Gators.

i hope he goes to osu, but i really doubt that he will. this kid's all about the drama. i think most of it is an act, and that he wants people to think it's between osu and michigan so that he can pull a huge suprise and pick someone else on signing day. he knows where he's going but just wants to drag it out. now he's added lsu to his list to lead more people on.
