The agree with what Shawn has said. Tebow is just another QB---Dixon is better and Young the best playmaker the last 10 years at the position. Shawn is just analyzing the QB talent that he has faced. I know Shawn will bust tebow in the mouth a few times win or lose!!

You can argue that Dixon or Young is better, I disagree about Dixon and it remains to be seen about Young (Tebow is only a soph.) But to say that he is just another college qb is a little naive.

You always have a rebutal to everything I say--why?

What about the Browns? I said 10-6, playoffs(Titans game not over), and J. Lewis close to 1500(he has over 1300 now).

Other teams could use Qb's in similar fashion but Florida bsides Harvin has little running game and Tebow has to run and be Mr. Everything! HE WILL NEVER PLAY QB IN THE NFL! And compared to Qb's Shawn has played against while at UM---Tebow is just another college QB!

Tebow is not just another average qb! He may not play in the NFL, but he is playing in college and setting all kinds of records. Do you think that is average? First to win the Heisman as a soph. and he is average?

I don't have a rebutal for everything you say, only when you are wrong which you can NEVER "man up" and admit. Maybe analyze what Tebow has done so far instead of trying to stick up for your boy.

I also give credit to you and others when they are right. Since you brought up the Browns thread, maybe go back and read where I gave you credit about your prediction????

I am down with Shawn---PERIOD, family first! Never said Tebow was not a great college player but it more of the system and lack of playmakers around him why he gets all the Td's! If he could actually throw more than 30 yards he would be a great QB prospect! I think he is better suited for a RB--IMO!

Comparing 2007 Tim Tebow to 2005 Vince Young:

Tim has a higher completion percentage, threw for more TDs, threw less interceptions, threw for more yards, higher rating, had a higher YPA in passing and more rushing touchdowns (throw this last stat out since he probably does keep the ball more in the red zone than most qb's)

Young rushed for more yards on less attempts, and had a higher rushing avg.

How is it that Young is such a great college QB and Tebow is just "another" QB?

Big game performances and Young left as a junior so if Florida win the BCS next season then you made a point! Young lost what 2 games as a starter at Texas. Tebow lost 3 games this year!! OSu was the best team in the nation that year and he done them in EARLY! Name another player on the Texas roster within ten seconds.....tick,tick,.... Young was the total package for college football and his NFL career,...well remains to be seen! he has not reall impressed me yet.
Tebow is better than good right now--- great possivly next season! His size is amazing however and he he is the heisman winner! However, if Dixon doesn't get hurt Oregon is playing for thr title and holding the hardware, again IMO!

Tebow may not be a great NFL QB down the road but he is certainly a GREAT college QB today!

I just wish UM players would quit spouting off. Mike Hart has raised a hornet's nest in East Lansing which will come back and bite UM in the butt soon and is now complaining about all the current coaches being fired. Let's get these guys the he!! out of Michigan. Jmo.

So you aren't a great QB unless you win a championship? I bet there many good bit of quarterbacks who didn't win a championship.

Remember Monte, we aren't debating if Young or Tebow is better ... you said that Tebow is "just another Qb" ? Tebow this year has as good or better stats in many categories with LESS talent that Young had. Regardless of who you feel is the better QB, how can you say that Young is the best of the last 10 years while implying that Tebow is just average?

Why does Tim have to win a championship to avoid being "just another Qb?"

This is GREAT. This is coming from an underachieving senior that MAY go in the 3rd or 4th round of the NFL draft after everyone had him in the top 25. I can't WAIT for the first play that Tebow runs right over his ass into the end zone. And there will be more than one of these.

I've tried to get Keno to bet me my prediction that Tebow himself will outscore Michigan. This is good. I might even have to go against rules and bet on this game. What a classic comment.

I don't agree with ANY bad sportmanship, Mr. Warren1st. And this guy coming out talking smack after the mediocre year he had is just crap. And one Tim Tebow is going to make he and the rest of his counterparts pay dearly for it tomorrow. So, Lloyd can blame him when his last game becomes a travesty for UM.

Last night was the first time i've watched Vince Young play in the NFL. I have got to say...he is ugly. He still looks like a college QB. The only reason he had any success last night is because Indy was running a very soft cover 2 with nothing to play for.

Also, last night was the biggest game of the year for the colts. Why is Vince young riding a bike on the sideline? What a little baby! The sideline reporter actualy said that Norm Chow called Vince Young a "whiner" LOL

And I hate to change the subject but Bob Sanders is an absolute beast at 5'8"!!!!!

Carle,
6 tackles, 2 tackle for loss, and 2 QB hurries sounds like a pretty decent game to me. Seemed like if you watched the game Tebow and Co. ran away from #2 most of the game. Bet he goes better than round 4???

Tebow had 59 yards rushing in the game and less than 200 passing so the UM defense did make him look like a average Qb yesterday!! P. Harvin by far was the best player on the field all day IMO. When pressured he looks average in the pocket and UM proved that yesterday.

Superbran, I miss wrote the weapons part---I should of said his lack of throwing ability makes him not completey utilize his weapons. And no a great QB is not defined as winning a championship ie: Dan Marino but it puts an * by the accomplishments. Just like T. Smith at OSU because of the BCS game last year---great player but came up short. Tebow was throwing screen passes and 5 yard pop passes and hitches all year---he should have a GREAT passing %. Also, he had 72 more carries than anyone on the team and carried the 47% of the time in thr red zone. The numbers should be great when you always have the ball--- just like Slaton at WVU but he has better all-around teammates to dish off to.

Chronic--- the paint is for "MEN ONLY", I was undersized for a center but I played defense until the whistle and manned the boards! I see you remember, you were a young trooper then!

I still don't get this. I'm not saying that he is the best QB ever or anything, but to say that he is just another QB is an understatement.

I don't think Tebow played a poor game. In fact, I think things may have turned out different except Michigan eventually started putting heat on him and didn't let up. It doesn't matter how good you are, if your line isn't block then you aren't going to complete many passes or run for many yards.

Here's my take for what it is worth. As a starter, Tim Tebow is 9-4. Percy Harven is more important to Florida than Tebow in my opinion. I would put him in the category right now of just another quaterback, Heisman or not. Crable was right, they use him in a situation where the qb runs the ball a lot and Urban is a coach who formations you to death and creates mis-matches thus giving his qb's plush numbers. Tebow will not be able to run the ball in the pros so when he does go....I do not see him being a first round guy. There are at least 5-7 QB's coming out this year that would be higher draft picks than Tebow if he was going to come out now. Here are 11 that I think are better pure Qb's (Henne, Brink and Flacco could be argued, but better pure passers in my book):

Andre Woodson (UK)
Brian Brohm (U of L)
Colt Brennan (Hawaii)
Matt Ryan (BC)
Josh Johnson (San Diego)
Chad Henne (UM)
Alex Brink (wash St.)
Eric Ainge (Tenn)
Dennis Dixon (Oregon)
John David Booty (USC)
Joe Flacco (Delaware)

Classless Michigan fans? Michigan fans are the BEST in the Big 10! And Rich Rodriguez will find that out for himself soon! So don't you tell me anything about classless Michigan fans because I've seen classless Ohio State fans in my day and age!

My point exactly.... ALL teams have classless fans, (yes Keno, even your dear Squealers and scUM fans are A-Holes from time to time)

Noone has the market cornered in this area...........

Thye point is, as Warren1st said.......

When you win, say nothing, and when you lose, say less!!!!!

I love the rivalry between TOSU and scUM, but it would be nice if you guys showed up to take your medicine after a loss, as much as you do to crow about a victory.

Crowing about winning a bowl game, (finally), in a season where you lost to TOSU (again).... AND to Oregon (by a bajillion points), AND to a JV team, (Go App ST!) is like celebrating after a big hit, when your team is down by 40!!!!!

Will you ever learn???

You mean Mr. six tackle, overrated Crable? Is that who you mean? Oh, Keno if Florida had ANY kind of a defense they win this game going away. Let's not forget your vaunted Michigan defense gave up 35 freaking points, OK?

90 tackles and 26.5 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery is overrated? Shawn plays OLB or DE on occasions and teams like Florida was smart enough to run the option weakside away from Shawn the entire game. being an OLB can be tricky because good teams sceme away from the strengths of the defense. Febuary 22nd when when Shawn starts making his money at the combines in Indy!!!
carle---I know you were routing for Florida but Tebow is not MR. do it all with pressure in his face. The sceme of Florida allows him to be great and UM took that away from him. S. Crable was in his face all day on 3-5 step drops---not an easy task for great OLB's in college ot the NFL.

proud to be,

I saw your post. All teams have classless fans...I vehemently disagree with you on this. There are some teams that don't have classless fans. And I have leads backing my stances.

Keno, you have got to be kidding...." There are some teams that don't have classless fans."...........that's like saying that there are schools that don't have ANY bad kids! Just plain ridiculous:tounge:

:doh2: It really is hopeless, isn't it? Would you mind supplying us your "leads" backing your stances that some teams don't have classless fans? Keno, you are really putting yourself into a class today I didn't think even YOU could achieve. And no, that's not a good thing.

No other words are necessary....................

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had leads backing your claim! I vehemently withdraw any inference I may have made, any comment that may have harmed you, or your family, and bow down to the obviously superior snoping skills of the all knowing Keno!!

Now that you mention it, I must admit I have NEVER seen a classless act from anyone donning the Black and Yellow. (let's be honest, it's yellow, not gold), and I humbly beg your forgiveness for any comment I may have made that caused you consternation.....

(Do you realize I'm being sarcastic, or should I go on?????)

Go on. It's hilarious.

In the off chance that I have not offered sufficient apology, allow me to put forth on a more personal level............

Obviously Keno, you are acutely in tune with the inner workings of the rampant Frontrunner Nation, and I can only hope that some day I am able to approach the stratospheric status that you have attained.

To that end, allow me to offer myself and my humble means to your service. I can only hope that my words don't fall on deaf ears, and you can see your way clear to forgive me for my misgivings in questioning your overwhelming expertise on this subject......

I am, once again, humbled in your presence

(How's that????)

Example 1: New England Patriots. They don't have classless fans and I can attest this. So can Tom Brady, who played for Michigan! So I just named two teams who don't have classless fans.

Shawn Crable is proud to play for fans who exhibit proper behavior!

Those classless fans now have 8 months to try and repent.

OK, lets hear the Steeler litany again.

proud to be,

I didn't get your post till late. I stand behind my Steelers and Wolverines, no matter what happens. I give Jacksonville credit for a job well done and hope to see them again soon.

Did I tell you once that Pittsburgh once picked up FIVE personal fouls in one game...and still won (three of them on late hits)? Now I dare you to name me another team that can pick up as many 15-yard personal fouls and win a game!

When it comes to my teams, I'm not just another pompous know-it-all frontrunner. I watch Pittsburgh and Michigan, win or lose, until the clock reads :00.

I am PROUD TO BE a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Michigan Wolverines...teams with championship tradion...and the best fans!
