Sounds interesting. The superintendent did not get a pay raise. So did his responsibilities at Orrville go down? Will both districts have to pay more for an assistant superintendent to have more responsibilities?
What happens if both districts are looking to hire someone for the same position and one candidate is head and shoulders above the rest?
Districts down here in North Carolina are county wide. There are many benefits and drawbacks to this. The biggest benefit is one superintendent for the whole county saves alot of money. One drawback, imo, is the problem of different areas having different needs due to their demographics and being able to cater to all these different needs.
