Yes, that's what I told my siblings when I broke the news that I was taking the rents for the holidays!

Prayers and positive thoughts greatly appreciated as my parents hop a flight in Cleveland Monday to connect to a non-stop to Zurich, Swissieland! Yep, they are, after 5 years, again making the pilgrimage. DH and I discussed it and decided "what the heck?!". So instead of the traditional wine and cheese basket from us, they received 2 round trip tickets to visit us over the holidays. Man do I love those miles! You wouldn't believe what you can accumulate with bi-monthly round trips to Asia for a solid year! My wonderful hubby has been rakin in the miles and now we gonna party! And they are packin a suitcase full of goodies, including smiley faced cookies from Liebermanns! I have a 4 year old who is over the moon about this, don't ya know! :2thumbsup:

And...if you don't mind, please include my Darling Hubby in those prayers and positive thoughts as he is going to have to suffer through 3 weeks of intense in-law time. Oh he is going to be so happy to go back to work! LOL!

:drinkem: Here's to clear skies and a good tail wind!

What a great Christmas present to give to your parents. That is the kind that is remembered for a lifetime! Best wishes for your families safe travels and happy holidays:angel:

Thanks Kam, we appreciate it! They should be boarding their flight to Chicago in just a few hours and even though they aren't afraid of flying, it still kind of freaks them out flying so far to a non-English speaking country (if they only knew how many people here do speak better English than most US high school or even college students! LOL!). It is wonderful that they can come over, especially since we weren't able to make it to the US this year after our extended stay in Asia. But we definitely plan on joining them next year, hopefully for July 4th celebrations. My girls have never been to the US for the 4th before. One time Halloween and one time Thanksgiving. They need a complete education (including Kraus's pizza and kettle cooked chips!).

Take care and Happy Holidays to all!

Mmm! and I am still hungry! (says the Massillon Chick hangin out in ice-cold Swissieland, munchin on some serious smiley faced cookies from Liebermann's!). And homesick! But much better with the rents here!
