You want a fair fight? My cell phone number has just been PM'd to you. Now let's have the fight.
Man2Man...don't mess with Carl - he's a well respected poster on MassillonProud! All should fear him! He makes more money than all of us combined x1000! He bench presses 550lbs, squats 600lbs, and cleans 405lbs. He is all that is man! He picks fights and calls people names on here if they differ in opinion! If he's anything older than a teenager I'll be extremely surprised. If he knew half of the actual people he was posting to he'd be in a world of hurt.

No that didn't happen because the school system is better, the family lives are better, etc. therefore the situation is better for success. That's not intended to be a knock on Massillon, that's just an objective view of the kids in Massillon.
In spite of our crappy schools, disfunctional families, and sub-par students, the only two times that Stacy has coached a team in the playoffs were at Massillon. Why couldn't he take the whitebread Whippets to the postseason?

Sometimes it's hard to face the facts. I'm not saying that's how all of the families/kids are in Massillon, I'm saying there is a big big big difference between both school districts.
How many teams did the OHSAA accept into the playoffs in 1993 and 1994?

I wonder if TS turned down the Michigan position before Rich Rodriguez took it?
Why would any top tier D1 team have any interest in Tom Stacy?????

By all means, insult my intelligence and list the BRUTAL teams that we have played. While you are doing that though, just don't confuse quality teams with BRUTAL teams. I will anxiously await your list.

I hope not.. I don't think Ohio State's QB's need to start regressing. Then again Tom Stacy is a quarterback miracle worker... We all have seen how well that worked..

1993: 16 teams in each of 5 divisions
1994: 32 teams in each of 6 divisions
Are you trying to intimate that Stacy's genetically and societally superior 1993 team would have made the playoffs in the current system? Would you have the historical Harbin record to support that?
BTW, none of Stacy's Shelby teams ever won (or even shared) the league title - it would be kind of foolish to argue that they were nonetheless among the state's elite.

that's quite an ignorant statement, to say the least. no one's claiming that stacy is a "miracle worker." even those who despise stacy can't argue that he's done well with qbs.....hurst (massillon's first 2000 yard passer), mossides, huth, butchie washington, charlie frye. he seemed to do well with those guys.
to say that ohio state's qbs would regress is absolutely ridiculous.............but i'm sure you know much more than tressel. LOL.
name me one coach how's made stars out of every player they coached. i'll give you a few weeks to do some research.

They would have made the playoffs at 8-2 with the current system. I'm sorry that I have a life and can't work out the Harbin points for you. I never said they won the league title. If you read my post, I said they were league runner-ups in back to back seasons. I never said they were one of the state's elite teams, either. Where are you pulling this out of? I was told that Shelby didn't make the playoffs under Stacy - well with the current format and at 8-2 they would have. Now people want to argue that they were supposed to be a state finalist? C'mon.

You don't have to "work out" anything -- but unless you know the final Harbin standings for 1993, you're in no position to say who "would have" made the playoffs. There are a lot of 8-2 teams who stay home (at least 15 this year, including 4 9-1 teams). I say Shelby would have been one of them. Prove me wrong.
It's a moot point anyway, as the only fact that matters is that they didn't make the playoffs.

Yeah lots of great teams/coaches didn't make the playoffs and still don't to this day. Shame.

It seems that most of the discussion on this forum revolves around moot points.
