Mike Tomlin feels that the Pittsburgh Steelers can beat the New England Patriots. After all, the Steelers knocked out four of the Patriots best players (and nearly a fifth) in terminating the Pats' 21-game winning streak (10/31/2004) at Heinz Field, 34-20. In September 2005, despite having five players knocked out of the game, the Patriots kicked their way out of Heinz Field with a 23-20 win on the leg of Adam Vinatieri on the last play of the game to end the Steelers franchise-record 16-game regular season winning streak.

I can't believe a friend of mine from Pittsburgh three years ago told me he cheered when the Steelers took a 21-3 lead and Tom Brady was down on the ground holding his leg and kicking it in the air after he was hit and his pass was intercepted by Deshea Townsend, who ran it back 39 yards for a TD in the 2004 game (a testament to Brady that he even finished the game as he eventually got up under his own power...the whole Pittsburgh crowd cheered, not because Brady was hurt but because of the large lead).

Anyway, here is the link to Sunday's game: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-steelersvsno1&prov=ap&type=lgns

GO STEELERS! POUND THE PATRIOTS!!
