I need help from all of you non-OSU fans. Between now and January 7th I need to to keep repeating several things...

Ohio State doesn't belong in the championship game...

Ohio State plays a weak schedule...

Ohio State is 0-8 all time vs the SEC

Ohio State can't hang with the "Southern Speed"...

Ohio State will get killed...

Ohio State can't beat LSU in New Orleans...

41-14...

LSU has better athletes...

And please add anything else you'd like to. I want EVERYBODY thinking that we are going to get killed.

His alma mater, McKinley crucified him so bad he went in exile for two years. Ironically he is back in their good graces. Well, except for the fact that when he posts on their web-site he has to sign his name "Simply X". Quite humorous to me.

Nebraska running over all Michigan? Hmmm.........the only way to beat the Cornhuskers was not to get into an offensive battle with them in 1997. Well, the Huskers won three national titles in four years (lost to #1 Florida State in the 1994 Orange Bowl 18-16...Nebraska was #2 at the time).

I'd have paid my heart and soul to see that matchup.

MTown,

It's frustrating. But I won't mind seeing back-to-back BCS title game losses for the Bucks. I'll give them a pass because they didn't see the loss to Florida coming last year...fans, players, and coaches didn't see it coming.

But there won't be any excuses if they go down to LSU, which they will.

Keno, being a fan of um, why would you not pull for the big 10 schools in the bowls? i hate um, but i want them to win their bowl games. it reflects well on our conference. i shouldn't have to even explain this to you. you are supposedly a sports writer (wink, wink). do you always have to think with your heart and not your head? or do you just need more attention?

"The Buckeyes (11-1, 7-1) will play for it all on Jan. 7, one day before the one-year anniversary of their 41-14 blowout loss to Florida in the 2006 national championship game. OSU is the favorite in ranking only, finishing No. 1 in the final BCS standings to No. 2 LSU (11-2), which is a solid favorite to extend Ohio State's bowl frustrations against Southeastern Conference opponents to 0-9."

I wouldn't call it out coaches as I would out played. If you want to blame anything on the coaching staff I would blame all of the stupid personal foul calls. Two of them on LSU's first drive helped that drive then to start the third quarter OSU has them stopped but then the roughing the kicker then the personal foul and LSU is already in FG range. The two big things I noticed was that we really need to work on covering the pass next season and Todd Boeckman has not made the jump yet from playing at D6 or D5 St. Henry to playing the big boy teams. The better teams this year Boeckman has struggled against them ( Illinois, Michigan, LSU). I believe that easy schedule credited to that. Hopefully this year was a learning experience for him and he grows and can get used to the speed and used to playing in those bigger games.

Exactly my thoughts. Ohio State was dominate in the run game and for some reason started getting too fancy. The game of football is not rocket science, it comes down mostly to execution. If the Buckeyes would have kept attacking with the run game, and not had stupid penalties, it would have been a different game.

MUCSteelers5xSuperChamp

You know...I'm not even going to deride anyone on here about OSU's loss...it wouldn't be fair to after the emotional setback my AFC North champion Steelers suffered to a better Jacksonville team (IT'S HARD TO STOP THAT DAVID DOUGLAS GARRARD)!!!!!

Ohio State set the tone early. But LSU was able to stay with them and score 31 straight points. That proved to be too much to overcome for the Big Ten champs. That Ohio State defense I saw was not the one that overpowered Michigan in a 14-3 game that really wasn't as close as that score indicated.

Give Leslie Edwin Miles and his batch of cats credit. They saw blood in the water and seized it. Ohio State must learn from this bitter taste of defeat once again and be a better team next time.

If you take away the personal foul penalties it is a whole different ball game regardless of what the offensive play calls were. If it wasn't for the roughing the kicker I think LSU would have been shut out the second half.
