Coldwater has come back from being down 21- 7 early in the 4th quarter to defeat Youngstown Cardinal Mooney 28 -27 due to a blocked extra point. They are the Div IV State Champions. Interesting fact:, Coldwater was the home team. Everyone who played as the home team this year at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium this weekend walked away the 2007 State Champions in their respective divisions. Congratulations to the Coldwater Cavaliers on your championship.

Oh and Coldwater's colors are Orange and Black.

Reminded me of Mass/Iggy and Mass/St Ed's games. Coldwater just never gave up and weren't intimidated at all.

No Kidding, They showed that you just cant ever give up. This was one of the most exciting high school football games I have ever seen. The #1 most exciting HS game I have ever seen is still the 1994 Massillon - vs - McKinley Game.

Is Coldwater the only team to beat Mooney the last 3 years ?

Mooney was 12-3 in 2005 Coldwater beat Mooney (Benedictine and Col Bishop Watterson beat Mooney during the regular season)
Mooney was 15-0 in 2006
Mooney was 14-1 in 2007 Coldwater beat Mooney

Absolutely the best game of the final six. Coldwater tough as nails, Mooney never quit. This proves the old cliche "You gotta play the game". Just ask WVU this morning.

Any chance we could see any of these teams on the Tigers Schedule in the comming years?

If stacy is back, you don't want to see any of these teams. You'd like a winning season wouldn't you?

Whether Stacy is back or not, and it's doubtful he will be, I find it rather disturbing that a fan would put no faith into the boys who play the game long before the new season even starts. Way to pump them up for winter conditioning this week though.

IMO, remarks like this serve absolutely no purpose whatsoever other than being self serving. It is hard to understand how some Tiger fans just can't help but put their own personal agendas ahead of the boys. Wouldn't it be much more productive to try and find some way to encourage them and help instill in them a sense of pride and hope that will drive them to build and improve the program for the future instead of giving them reasons to doubt themselves?

:offtopic: This is NOT a coaching thread nor will be one discussing the HC Position at Massillon. This is about seeing any of these teams on a future Tiger Schedule and giving them props for winning thier respective State Championships. Please refrain from discussing our HC or this thread WILL be shut down by the admins. Thanks.

Now on with the dicussion..........

Since someone mentioned that Anderson has a problem with us lets get on the phone and get this deal done. Coldwater would make another worthy opponent.

I believe you open the door on this thread going off topic.

Let's keep things on task here.
