Massillon Rec Center Winter Basketball

A couple of guys and I are in the process of creating a Recreation League team for the Massillon Rec Center Winter Basketball League and we need a handfull of guys to complete it. If you're interested in joining our winter basketball team please email winterbasketball@massillon.com Please let us know no later than December 10th. Thank you and we hope to see you on the court.

I should have mentioned that the basketball league doesn't start til Wednesday, January 9th. As well all games are on Wednesdays and start at; 6:00pm, 7:00pm, 8:00pm and 9:00pm. All teams will be allowed to start warming up as early as 5:30pm.

I have to admit I'm rather disappointed that in a city with a population over 32,000 and several townships around us that are every bit as large as us I couldn't find 7 people for winter basketball. That’s right... 7. :wall: If you were planning on participating with the team I attempted to build I'm sorry but we will not be playing in the Massillon Rec Center Winter Basketball League this season.

I am very interested in joining a group or starting a group that will meet for pick-up basketball. I for several years had a membership at the Massillon Rec Center but never knew of anybody meeting there for pick-up basketball.

At this point I’m without a membership to a “gym” and considering on spending my recreation dollars at another facility other than the Massillon Rec Center. Lets face it, for almost a brand new facility the Rec Center isn’t that great. For me its only 2 strengths are that it has basketball courts and that it’s in Massillon.
