So I'm reading the St. Pete Times at lunch today and lo and behold one of the local writers is referencing the show on ESPN "Outside the Lines". I didn't see the show so I'm going on what the article states.

Apparently, there was a Big Ten Official, Jim Filson who had been refereeing for a number of years. He has been officiating for twelve years. Apparently, five years ago he lost one of his eyes after a fall in the off-season. He made a call in a game that was wrong, and actually got overturned with replay, like DOZENS of calls every game, right? Well, there were several phone conversations behind the scenes that ultimately cost Filson his job. And do you want to guess who was the one doing all the talking??? Yep, none other than Lloyd "Whiner" Carr. This after Filson consistently graded well in evaluations.

Now, if this isn't bad enough, ESPN decides to do this news story. Everyone involved agrees to speak to the subject except one person. Want to venture a guess as to who THAT would be? Yep again. That "class act" (Warren1st's words, not mine). What a low-life, yellow, coward son of a bitch. This guy shouldn't be allowed to coach high school again. And as a severance package, he should be required to go to Filson's house and meet him like a man, instead of hiding behind the damn telephone.

Well, Warren1st, Keno, Hartville "the Amish" Tiger and the rest of you Michigan lovers. PLEASE let me hear your justification for this one. It should be a real doozy. What a classless piece of trash.

CarlE,

You are going to have to get me a link to this. I have never heard of Carr being involved in anything like this.

You're being really succinct with your nasty verbage of the 62-year-old Carr.

CarlE,

You know Carr is a hostile head coach. But don't forget that he used that hostility and fire to lead Michigan to a national championship 10 years ago and four other Big Ten titles.

You sound like my good friend Lauren Couch (from West Virginia)...who can get real moody sometimes (I love her for it...she's even gotten moody with me at times but I loved it.).

Anyway, back to where I was at. I still like Carr and will always back him in everything he does.

So you back him in the firing of this very capable referee? That's interesting.

By the way, he led them to a CO-championship 10 years ago. And they would have gotten their asses kicked by Nebraska. Handily.
