I have been wondering the same thing since I read that article today. I figured that about 5 or 6 teams from this year are 1 year deals or maybe the 07' schedule is going to look very similar to this year.

In the inde yesterday it was saying we could be playing Valdosta, Georgia in week 4. I have been hearing rumors about this for the last few years when goof was still the the coach. That would be an amazing game. #1vs#2 in wins in the country. WOW even though Valdosta has been playing bad the last few years I bet that would still be a pretty good game. I hope the contract is signed.

Why is there always an on again/off again ordeal with the Valdosta game.
Either get it done, or forget it !!

I noticed next years home games start at 7:30 pm.. I know I'm
a little older, but don't we start the games at 8:00pm again?? I
thought games were switched to 7:30, then switched back to 8:00pm.

Parma Normandy has about 12-15 Jrs on this years team. They were talking about them on 850am this past saturday morning. They said that they must really think they are going to be tough in 2007 to have scheduled the TIGERS. The game will be at byers field.....I wonder if that is where they usually play?

I've got no objection to playing Normandy, but how did this game come to be at Byers? If it's the front end of a multi-year deal, I'd hate to see them pull a Dover after we spank them. Seems to me that we should have got the first game here to cover ourselves in case of such an eventuality.
You may have also noticed that we are not currently scheduled for a road trip to a Cincinnati football orgy.
I believe Byers Field is Normandy's home field (as it is for some of the other schools in the Parma area including Iggy)

Point taken. :) Perhaps I should have been more specific: why wouldn't the game have been scheduled for PBTS?
To fill a 10 game schedule Massillon no longer can dictate that they get a home game unless it is a multi-year contract. I'm not sure whether Normandy is scheduled for 2008.

When was the last time we signed a one-game contract for a road game (not counting a festival appearance, of course)?
I gotta think that this is a multi-year deal. I know this sounds arrogant, but since when does a school like Normandy have the pull to dictate to us? We haven't even started the 2006 season yet; I can't think that we're already in desperation mode for next year.
Venue aside, this looks like a pretty good schedule. Maybe old Jeff Thornberry wasn't as bad as some people made him out to be. :)

Sorry about that Al went down to fast on this. I guess we should worry about this year schedule instead of next year. We want to take it all this year. One game at a time. GO TIGERS GO BEAT WOODSON
